Wigl666's DILD Workbook
Hi ... my name is Joel and i'm 20 years old , i started MILDing on May 21 and i had my first LD on May 22 by MILD. I already do a reasonable amount of RC's per day,i have a DJ with 17 entries, i try do do ADA, i do Reverse Reallity Checks, i Meditate and i do WBTB to improve my Dream Recall. My mantra for MILD is " I Remember i'm dreaming" it was " I will remember i'm dreaming" but i eard is best to use them on the Present tense, the thing is that in my language (Portuguese) "I remember i'm dreaming " sounds silly so i would like some feedback on this. What i do at night is this (To MILD):
1º - i count breaths until i'm relaxed enough and get my head cleared .
2º - i start repeating my mantra with each breath , i try to make the mantra meaningful in my head but is not very easy ( i would like some help on that).
3º - in the middle of the process i do some visualization ( i'm not very good at it because i lose track of the scenario i´m imagining...and i have a special difficulty imagining myself walking).
4º - i repeat 2º and 3º until i fall asleep.
I would like an opinion and some help improving my MILD because is not working very well.

Hi Wigl666, so sorry for late reply.
Abot the mantras - yes, it's true that they are better in present tense. I use some of them, that are not 100% gramatically correct, but they sound better. The point is, that a mantra should sound and feel good to you. If you don't like saying it, than find another one. As long as it has a meaning to you, you pronounce it easily and you get a good feeling from it, it will work.
It sound's like you already doing more than just MILD. If you added regular RCs, you would have a DILD.

MILD is just basically repeating mantra at night and then going to sleep. It works best, if it's the last thought before you fall asleep. But if it keeps you up, just say it a few times and go to sleep.
When I say my mantra "next time I'm dreaming, I look at my hands and realize I'm dreaming" I'm actually imagining how I look at my hands and how it will get me lucid.
Visualizing - you can start with it as you go to bed. At first, it's more like daydreaming. You don't really see any images, you just thinking about them. As you get closer to falling asleep, they may or may not get a life of their own. I guess it depends if you are close to a dream or not. But don't worry if it doesn't work. It will work later, just have patience.
Here is a good MILD by zoth Induction Methods and Techniques
Good luck:alien:

I Gab , thanks for the help :D
Well i already do a bunch of RC's per day... i just forgot to mention it :s
I'm steel not sure of what mantra i should use , i know you probably will say that the best one is the one i can repeat without much difficulty and makes sense to me but nevertheless i would like you to offer an opinion about the following list of mantras i came up with and point me the one it is more appropriate or just give your opinion about them :
1 - "When I dream ... I know I'm dreaming"
2- "I know I'm dreaming!"
3-"The next time I'm dreaming ... I'll make a Reality check!"
4-"The next time I'm dreaming ... I'll do the nose pinch!"

Ok, I'll tell you a few mantras of mine that got me lucid at least once.
Classic mantra with classic looking at hands RC and awareness question:
I suddenly ask myself "Wow, am I dreaming?" I look at my hands, examine them, count my fingers without expecting any outcome, do a few more RCs and then this is the mantra:
1. Next time I'm dreaming, I look at my hands and realize I'm dreaming
In English, this rhymes and even if it's long, it works great. It got me lucid on more than one occasion.
2. I'm dreaming - this got me lucid, when in regular dream I heard a voice "I wonder how is it gonna take her to realize".
The ones you are saying
Next time I'm dreaming I pinch my nose (look at my hands, push my thumb through my palm...) any of these are good.
Just don't forget the emotions while you doing any of these. You have to believe they will work because you know you are in a dream.

Thank you ;)
Well, this is some good news , i had another LD two days after :D
Background
I naturally wake up at 4:00 am , I get up and then write down the previous dream, go to the bathroom and go to the kitchen to have a glass of water. I lay down on my back and prepare myself to WILD , i start counting my breaths as i usually do and i wait until the rollover signals are very strong , when they are i turn over to my side and stop counting, i just get focus on my breathing .
After this comes the weird part... i suddenly am in a dream with but i'm didn't felt any HI or hallucination that's why i think it was DILD and not WILD because as fast as the dream began i remember i was trying to WILD (in the dream ) so i do the nose plug RC and i can breath through ...
Dream
I'm near my aunt's house, in Pousa ( is my village, where i'm from, i don't live there anymore ), I'm walking down a narrow path which is made of pavement and sand as soon i'm finished doing the RC and confirming i'm dreaming i start levitating , i know is because i'm too excited so i start controlling my breaths and i go down again , just to test a different RC i look to my hands and they are perfectly normal ... i continue to walk down the path and i get to the main road ... i know this place really well because i used to play here as a child, in my right is a Coffey place that i know as well.
I look to the other side of the road and 3 really hot girls are passing by, i call one of them but she says no with her head ( " even in dreams this happens to me XD" I thought ), i cross the road and a pretty woman is there holding a big box in her hands. I grab her arm and cross the road again ... when i get to the other side i take her clothes off but then the weirdest thing happens... she transforms into a little girl ... i panic and wake up .

Hey, congrats!
You don't always feel the transition. But it really is up to you to decide if it was DILD or WILD. And at the end, it doesn't really matter that much. Getting lucid is what counts. Congrats!
