Hello, I'm Objective, or Matt. I'm 14, an oversea student in New Zealand from Thailand. I have been trying lucid dreaming on and off for over, hmm... 5 years I think? There had been periods where I had been able to lucid dream regularly, to the point where I was able to do the goals in my former site, Dreamerbase (I guess this don't count as promoting since the site is dead). However, I became stressed due to real life issues, and then forgot about lucid dreaming. To say I had a "dry spell" would be an understatement. I didn't even think about lucid dreaming.
Then one day, lying on my bed, something hit me. I nearly forgot about lucid dreaming!
So here I am back again. :P
I have a fairly potent dream control power, if I may say. Maybe they have eroded over the time, but I remembered that I once was able to will the Moon to explode  . So control certainly isn't an issue. In fact, I don't really care much about it. I just want to be able to observe my dreams in an aware state and enjoy the view in the landscape of my mind.
I used to RC incredibly frequently, but they were all mindless RCs, and soon they began to result in negatives in my dream. I now instead practice in ADA, and frequently question my surrounding, before doing reality checks.
My problem, however, is my sleep. I think I might have insomnia, and often I sleep in. I am in the process of healing my messed up circadian cycle, and so I will not be doing WBTB for quite a while so as to not stress my brain :P.
The effects of mantras on me is pretty inconsistent. They don't seem to work before I go to bed, but they work in combination with WBTB. They also make it harder for me to sleep if I repeat them before bed, though this might just be my anxiety. :P
Spoiler for Status:
Go-to Reality Checks: Counting fingers, breathing with pinched nose, recalling the location/date/situation Lucid dreams since workbook: 0 Regular Sleep time: 11PM-1AM Regular Waking time: 8-10AM Goal Sleep time: 10PM Goal Waking time: 6AM Mantra: When I go to sleep, I will ask myself if I am dreaming, and then I will do reality checks. Stabilization Method: I will first pry my eyes open with my hands, because when I become lucid I get aware of my closed eyes. Then I will rub my hands together and take note of the details of my surrounding.
Rules
These 'rules' will be updated over time.
Spoiler for Rules:
Read rules after I'm done meditating in the morning.
Repeat reality checks three times.
Don't faff around after bed time.
Practice ADA for at least 10 minutes per day.
Write at least 20 sets of my bedtime mantras line-by-line before bed.
Meditate for at least 5 minutes after waking up, and meditate until feeling sleepy before going to sleep.
Perform at least 30 reality check rounds in day.
Leave a noticeable interval before performing reality checks again.
Remember the date.
Reality check after recalling dream.
Add at least one more rule to this list every week until I am absolutely unable to think of anything else.
Do RCs every time I change location.
Always write my DJ, even if I can't recall anything.
Mission Statement
This is like my 'curriculum'. It is the outlines for what skills I should gain from this workbook before I move my focus on to other aspects of the academy.
Spoiler for Objectives:
To maintain Awareness throughout the day regularly.
To recall at least one dream per day vividly and coherently.
To get a new DG.
To have a working mantra.
To have an LD that does not end immediately upon lucidity, and where I can do something, like, say, finish a goal.
Personal Homework
I'll be trying to give myself at least 2 homeworks per week, and more if I'm particularly bored or enthusiastic.
Spoiler for Finished Homeworks:
Homework
None.

Week 1
Week 1: 7th to 14th of July
I can't think of anything to note. If anyone reading this have an idea, questions would be appreciated.
It seems that in the next week I will be visiting my parents, which means no WBTB and possibly having my recall interrupted. It's only 2 weeks, so who cares.
New rule: Do RCs every time I change location, and always write my DJ as soon as I finish my wakeup RC.
I realized I forgot to write about my stabilization method. I will first pry my eyes open with my hands, because when I become lucid I get aware of my closed eyes. Then I will rub my hands together and take note of the details of my surrounding.
My sleep cycle is still messed up.
Homework
1. Write down my plan of action of what to do when I become lucid. Stabilizing, goals, et cetera.
2. Read the DILD tutorials listed in this DILD course again.
Wow, it sure looks like you are organized and have it all lined up. Nice job. I'm gonna read throught it all. In the mean time, if you have any question, please ask. Happy dreams:alien:

Hi, gab!
If I have a question, I guess I will ask you, though probably the IRC would still be my go-to place.
Feel free to give me random homeworks.

It took me until approximately midnight to fall asleep. I was waken up at 6AM by my alarm, but my sleepiness is so great that I fell asleep again until 7:30AM.
My recall was annihilated by the jarring alarm, and I could only recall a single thing. The mantra seem to be a bit long and unwieldy, and somehow the tune doesn't sound right, so I'm changing it to just "Am I dreaming?". Writing the mantra seems to be quite useless, and is a pain in the ass to boot, but I will continue to do it for a while to see if it works.
I woke up at 8AM... I hate my sleep cycle.
I can't recall anything.

In considerable stress.
As self-pitying and dramatic it might sound, I am in considerable emotional pain from recent events, and I might have to postpone lucid dreaming to get some normal sleep without getting worried by mantras.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. But practicing for DILD should not mess with your sleep schedule at all.
Most of the practice is done during day. If reciting a mantra doesn't let you fall asleep, wait untill you almost asleep to say it a few times. Or start as you go to bed and discontinue after a few minutes. No WBTB required. Good luck.

I s'pose. It's more like my sleep schedule messing up my LD, though. And right now I'm suffering from desynchronosis (jet lag), after flying back home. Maybe I can get my recall back soon, though. As long as I don't fall back asleep while trying to recall.

Wish you speedy recovery.

Update. I'm still alive. I want to get rid of my habit of sleeping in first before doing anything else.

Sleeping in is good for LDs. But not, if it interferes with life, so I understand.

Shitshitshit I completely forgot about this.
I'm gonna update tomorrow.

Week ...2? : 5th to 9th of September
Of course by tomorrow I mean a week later. Duh. I still haven't had any progress so far.

Homework
1. Write down my plan of action of what to do when I become lucid. Stabilizing, goals, et cetera.
2. Read the DILD tutorials listed in this DILD course again.
3. Try all the reality checks listed.

Your goals sound good, and you are correct about writing them down. It really helps not only to remember them, but to also set your intent to have a lucid.
