      Week 1

      Week 1: 7th to 14th of July

I can't think of anything to note. If anyone reading this have an idea, questions would be appreciated.
It seems that in the next week I will be visiting my parents, which means no WBTB and possibly having my recall interrupted. It's only 2 weeks, so who cares.

New rule: Do RCs every time I change location, and always write my DJ as soon as I finish my wakeup RC.

I realized I forgot to write about my stabilization method. I will first pry my eyes open with my hands, because when I become lucid I get aware of my closed eyes. Then I will rub my hands together and take note of the details of my surrounding.

My sleep cycle is still messed up.

      Homework

      1. Write down my plan of action of what to do when I become lucid. Stabilizing, goals, et cetera.
      2. Read the DILD tutorials listed in this DILD course again.

      Hi, gab!

If I have a question, I guess I will ask you, though probably the IRC would still be my go-to place.
Feel free to give me random homeworks.

It took me until approximately midnight to fall asleep. I was waken up at 6AM by my alarm, but my sleepiness is so great that I fell asleep again until 7:30AM.

My recall was annihilated by the jarring alarm, and I could only recall a single thing. The mantra seem to be a bit long and unwieldy, and somehow the tune doesn't sound right, so I'm changing it to just "Am I dreaming?". Writing the mantra seems to be quite useless, and is a pain in the ass to boot, but I will continue to do it for a while to see if it works.

      In considerable stress.

As self-pitying and dramatic it might sound, I am in considerable emotional pain from recent events, and I might have to postpone lucid dreaming to get some normal sleep without getting worried by mantras.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. But practicing for DILD should not mess with your sleep schedule at all.

Most of the practice is done during day. If reciting a mantra doesn't let you fall asleep, wait untill you almost asleep to say it a few times. Or start as you go to bed and discontinue after a few minutes. No WBTB required. Good luck.

I s'pose. It's more like my sleep schedule messing up my LD, though. And right now I'm suffering from desynchronosis (jet lag), after flying back home. Maybe I can get my recall back soon, though. As long as I don't fall back asleep while trying to recall.

Update. I'm still alive. I want to get rid of my habit of sleeping in first before doing anything else.

Sleeping in is good for LDs. But not, if it interferes with life, so I understand.

      Week ...2? : 5th to 9th of September

Of course by tomorrow I mean a week later. Duh. I still haven't had any progress so far.

      3. Try all the reality checks listed.

Your goals sound good, and you are correct about writing them down. It really helps not only to remember them, but to also set your intent to have a lucid.
