      Harries's workbook

Hey guys, my name is harries and im a 19 old male.

So on a boring day, i was deciding to watch any old dvd i had and Inception caught my eye. As of being bored i just googled up "can inception be possible", and after some research i found out the answer was NO, due to lack of technology. However you could control your dreams like they do in the movie, by Lucid dreaming, and that's how i got interested.

I have tried WILD, but i always get some uncomfortable feeling after a while, (i become super concious of my swallowing. my legs start to feel tight, some itchiness on my side, my eye lids feel like they just want to open, head/neck feels uncomfortable etc.) I have also tried counting in my head, and although does stop me thinking of other things, i can count to infinite and never fall asleep.

Recall - i can recall my dreams just fine. I started a dream journal over a week ago (i think that might help me alot) but prior to that i could remember my dreams, about 3 a night, however i forget them the next day or if i don't reflect on them after i wake up.

Dream journal- Started about a week ago.

Reality checks - Pinch my nose and try to breath (easiest and shortest one i think)

Well yh that's pretty much it tbh, I really would love to experience a lucid dream (matrix style) and all help will be appreciated.

      Thanks

Well im always rc'ing (i got those watchs with a hourly alarm) and so has my self awareness. I have also improved alot in my dream recall , i get about 3 entries a day.

I have one question tho. Does it matter if my sleep pattern changes? Sometimes im sleeping at 1am, 2am or 3am. Im going try to make a habit of sleeping near 12ish an walking near 8-9 ish.

Hi harries, welcome to DILD class.

Having a consistent sleep schedule should help. Try to keep it as often as you can.

And you are right about dream journaling. It definitelly helps with recall. It also tells your mind, that you like dreaming and remembering them.

If you would like to try WILD, I recommend this tutorial (sageous). He also teaches a class here in the Academy.

And here is a DILD for beginners, and my article that expands on it.

So read up and post your questions. Happy dreams

      Hey

I was wondering what's the differen between DILD and MILD?

Another question I have to ask is if I want to WILD should I create another thread in the wild course sub forum?

And lastly if I want a lucid ASAP which is better WILD OR MILD?

      Thanks

DILD is a technique where you get in the habit of increasing your awareness (using reality checks/all day awareness) throughout the day so that it eventually increases your awareness in your dreams enough that you realize you're dreaming. MILD is different in that it improves your prospective memory, that is, your skill of remembering things when you experience certain things (using prospective memory training/ affirmations while falling asleep) enough that you're remember that you're dreaming when you experience patterns that occur in your dreams (dream signs) while you're dreaming. MILD doesn't require any time out of your day before you go to bed.

You should start a workbook in the WILD course if you want to WILD, seeing this is a DILD forum

Given your experience with WILD, I feel that MILD would better for you if you want to have a lucid ASAP just because WILD tends to be a skill that takes more time to develop if you don't have it.

Hmm...you right, there aren't any workbooks there. You could also start one in Intro Class.

WILD class has a different structure than this one. You don't need a workbook there. You can simply post in http://www.dreamviews.com/wild/13309...-bad-here.html and sageous will reply.

All methods are good. They are just simply different. It's recommended to start with DILD, since it will teach you all the things you will need for WILD, especially mental preparation. But of course, you can chose any method.

MILD is good for people that have good memory. DILD is in essence MILD plus RCs and mantras. It may work better for some people than just MILD.
