Well hello :) Narwhal here, I'm 22 My first few lucid dreams were DILDs starting at around age 14, and they were before I had any knowledge of what a LD was, so I was confused but it enthralled me so much that I had to find out what it was. I asked some of my family, and they had no idea what I was talking about, so years later still confused I turned to the internet, youtube specifically and surfed videos about dreaming and eventually came across a lucid dreaming video that had a link under it to dreamviews. After absorbing in all the information about LDing, I experimented with WILDs and it actually worked. But I've been lacking in motivation lately and have been having a dry spell of DILDs. My sleep is better than ever due to my new practice of only drinking distilled water, and urine therapy. The extra melatonin and various hormones I take in from my urine has completely rid of my insomnia, and wack sleeping pattern, so I don't want to let all this good sleep go to wast. I'd say I've been getting about 12 to 13 hours of sleep a night...wow I used to only sleep 2 to 3 hours a night for years. I can even nap in the day and still fall asleep at night at the proper time and stay in a deep sleep with no disturbances. Before if I was unlucky enough to dose off in the day, I could kiss sleep goodbye that whole night. I've been lazy with doing RCs, and my dream signs are obvious to me, so I need to find away to incorporate it into self awareness. My first DILDs I had trouble stabilizing but then I read some stabilization tips in the forums, here are the stabilizations I currently use and that I've had the best success with -
Stabilization
- Looking at my hands.
- Verbal command "stabilize now".
- Spinning in a circle.
- Rubbing hands together.
I haven't really tested out many RCs, but I have messed around with looking at my hands for a reality check and it has worked pretty well, since in waking life I've always found hands to be one of the most beautiful body parts and as a child frequently traced hands so I seem to instantly become self aware when my finger are disproportionate.
My dream recall can be extremely well and vivid, or be completely dulled and forgetful depending on my motivation at the time. Some ways I work on dream recall are -
Dream Recall
- Physical paper dream journal by my bed I write in.
- Keeping eyes shut and staying still upon waking to remember dreams.
- I tried binaural and isochronic beats for awhile with no improvement.
- Electronic dream journal on dreamviews (seems to work best).
- Recalling dream signs (rarely works for me).
- Distilled waters and urine therapy (I'm less forgetful as my brain and body have been detoxing)
DILD Control
- Still having trouble flying.
- Having trouble changing scenes using the door technique, want to try other techniques.
- Can't summon certain people correctly, their heads are shaped pointy.
- Can't summon specifically my twin flame. Absolutely can not, it's like a block.
- Can control and create detailed scenes very well.
Current DILD goals - (probably have more later but want to keep it simple and not overwhelm myself) -
DILD Goals
- Improve flying, in ways of maneuvering, speed, hight, directioning, and not feeling a tickle in my gut like on a rollercoaster.
- Becoming more easily self aware in dreams through tips anyone can give me.
- Gaining lucidity more easily, and more often.
- Staying motivated.

LD Techniques
