Hey, guys. I’m Sebastian. I’m a 35 year old Brazilian man. I first learned about Lucid Dreaming last year when I saw a post about it on 9gag. I really piqued my interest, but my life at the time was a bit hectic and I decided that I didn’t have the time to devote to it. I was supposed to start getting into it last December during my vacation, that was the plan originally, but December came and went and I totally forgot about it. Well, I am postponing no longer. About two weeks ago, again, I saw a post on 9gag on lucid dreaming and I decided that I was going to start doing it then.
As far as my experience goes well, it’s mostly theoretical. In the past two weeks I’ve only had one LD. I am developing a decent dream recall. However, I do still have to wake in the middle of the night to remember part of my dreams, but I’ve managed to remember about 30 dreams in 12 days (I started Journaling on June 19th). I think that’s good, right?
I have a decent sleep schedule, since I only work 3 days/week. I’ve been trying to go to bed and to get up at the exact same time every day. I hear that helps. Of course, sometimes things don’t go as planned here and there, but for the most part I’m sticking to it.
I’m working on my awareness doing the day. During the first like, ten days I was using an App to remind me to do reality checks, but I felt like that might not help me at all. I need to be able to remember to do them by myself. To actually question if I’m dreaming or not myself, not because an app on my phone told me to.
I haven’t taken any supplements yet. Melatonin isn’t 100% legal in my country. So I can’t just go to Walmart and get it. I would be able to import it, but that makes me a little iffy, so I decided not to do it. I’ll be going to the US next year (I think) and I’ll maybe purchase some over there.
That being said, I WILL be trying 5-HTP tomorrow (yay!), so I’m curious to see how that’s gonna go.
