Hello Theonidus/Denzel (which do you prefer?), and welcome to the DVA DILD class!
It sounds like you had quite a night there with some lucidity, so congrats on that!
It can't really see anything you did that I'd consider "wrong." There's not much wrong about dreaming, everybody needs to find what works best for them. I've not done much spinning, it's generally considered a last ditch attempt to preserve a dream that is fading. Some people use it to change locations, but it can have a dramatic effect like what you experienced, perhaps even waking you up.
Many people experience FAs, they're a major part of dreaming practice. I don't know that you can prevent them by "anchoring" (what do you mean by this, actually?). It's probably the best you can do to just prepare yourself for the idea of them and get in the habit of questioning every waking by doing an RC right away.
I know that for me, when I'm near to lucidity or have just had a LD and kept on dreaming, I frequently have FAs. Sometimes I catch them, sometimes I don't. It's not about doing anything wrong.
If you like, you could perhaps share a bit about your dreaming practice background: have you read any books, what do you do during the day, during the night, do you do RCs, what are your goals, and so forth, basically, give us an introduction to where you are now and where you want to go with dreaming practice.
Feel free to use your workbook as a place to track your progress, ask questions, etc. Let us know if you have any other questions!
In the meantime, I'd recommend having a look through the articles here: important & informative links, they'll give you a good background about what's important in dreaming practice.
