It's called time dilation, I haven't done it myself, but I heard it makes the dreams seem a lot longer than what they actually are. |

I was wondering if it was possible to make a dream truly feel like several hours, days, weeks. |

That is not time dilation. Time dilation is when you alter time itself to travel into the future IE: travel at the speed of light, or enter a black hole. |

After the whole Inception scene dealing with this subject (don't want to describe it and cause spoilers) I've been wondering this myself. I haven't even had a lucid dream yet since I've just started, but the concept seems interesting enough, and there has to be some way to make dreams seem longer. |

Yes you can extend a dreams time, I was reading up on a thread someone made in the "Beyond dreaming" section(you should be able to find it). There is something called psychological time, its a lot to read but it is worth it. |
|
there are some techniques to dilate time, one i read was u imagine a clock and try to fit more hours, like a normal clock has 12, then you try to fit 24 or 48 or i guess u could try 2 go higher but it might be harder to do so. |

Can I get some more experience people in here? I am currently practicing time dilation in dreams. |

I've always noticed that my LDs are a lot longer than they are in the real world, typically when I nap for a few hours but the dream feels like much longer. One method might be to make a big clock and adjust a gear in the back so it moves slower. |

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
Try the tutorial I wrote in my signature. It seems to work for a lot of people and is very easy to understand. |

MY RC ADVICE: Don't be too eager to go leaping off buildings.
Start from the ground and go up from there.
I think I might have done this unintentionally once, my five minute lucid dream lasted about an hour |

'Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out
Contagion to this world.
~William Shakespeare
Probably the same phenomenon as when your whole life "flashes before you" before you think you're going to die. |
