First lucid dream was a major one

      Hi people
had my first lucid last night, and it was rather something
i was wondering if anyone could tell me just how far into it i was, i know theres differnt levels, major and minor and all that

first of all, i realised i was dreaming, i was going to look at my watch but before i even did, i could feel the realisation, the dream starting disapating, but then i remembered something from INCEPTION! the breathing techniques, that slowly bought it back, i was now in control, i laughed, done a running frontflip to test it, then stole a car and i was genuinly happy with the fact i finaly realised i was dreaming.
now heres where it gets complex, i flew around, landed on the floor then there was a scene transition, by now people usually loose their lucidity right? well i still rememberd to reality check, done some more things, scene trasistion again, done more...
overal i think i went through about 5 scene transistions, the final one however, i was being questioned about something bad i done in my previous scene, but this time i did not realise i was dreaming, and then woke up to reality.

Also, If you guys could help me with things like remembering the goals i actualy wanted to have these dreams for, (which i totaly forgot in the dream) i would much apreciated it i have huge ideas for incorporating this into my life.

If a man believes his dream is his reality when he wakes up is this now his dream or does he believe he hadn't been dreaming at all?

Way to go on your first LD!

If you want to remember your goals better, keep a list of them in your dream journal. Keep it simple so it's easier to remember. I have the problem of immediately running around and trying to do as many things as I can remember to do before the dream runs out. Lots of these threads mention staying in one place and doing nothing. So my new goal is to keep cool and stay put. From there, I'm going to slowly try and remember three goals.

good job. i'm jealous. my first LD was 2 seconds long.
I wander through the woods listening to the sound of nature. The sky turns red and opens before me. I realize that I must be dreaming... My adventure has just begun.

Sounds like a pretty great first lucid dream.

I don't think there are really defined levels, though. I remember some guy on Youtube having a series on the 5 layers of lucidity or something, but in the end it is all quite arbitrary to make such distinctions.

Of course, there are different degrees of vividness, dream control and so forth. Reading your story, it sounds like you had quite a lot of control over your dream and managed to stay lucid pretty long.

Keep it up, it will only get better!
