      removing dream characters

I've seen a lot of talk on how to find or summon dream characters, but none to do the opposite.
Last night I had a lucid dream, but I had a dream character following me through the whole thing. I probably wouldn't have minded much if it were a calm dream character, but she spent the whole time yelling at me viciously and trying to convince me that I wasn't dreaming. I tried all that I could think of to get rid of her. I closed my eyes and told myself that she would be gone when I opened them, but she was still there. I told myself that she wouldn't be able to follow me out of the house, but she did. I said that when I got around the corner she would be gone, but she was still following me. I tried telling her that I knew she wasn't real, but that was when she tried to convince me that my reality check hadn't worked properly. I ran away from her very quickly, doing my best to keep my focus entirely off of her while I was running, but she was there when I stopped. I flew away from her, still not thinking about her, but when I looked down she was clinging to my legs. I eventually managed to fly away without her, but it would have been a much better dream without her contribution.

I dont know if this is a common thing, it may never happen again. But can anyone suggest ways to get the dream character to leave if it happens again?

Wow, I've never experienced anything similar. My dream characters usually disappear when I don't pay them any attention.

As a last resort you can always try to destroy her using magic, weapons, telekinesis, etc.

Look away from the DC and then back again; when you turn your head, expect that they'll no longer be there. You can also just tell them that, if they don't stop following you, they'll never be allowed in your dreams again. Works like a charm. =D

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I'd suggest just telling them to go away or else there will not be cake. Or try to not think of them. Or give them a pill that will transform them into someone else. It's all expectations. When you closed your eyes and said she'd be gone, you expected her to stay. You need to learn to unlearn the rules of the real world.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

Go with this. Ignoring DCs out of existence is the best, most effective and direct way to get them off your back.

teleport far away so that there is no way for her to follow. well unless you use a jumper style teleport in which case your screwed because she could jump through your hole.
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

It's easy to teleport if you're in a building: you can just walk through a door and expect the location of your choice to be on the other side as you're opening it.

Like Mzzkc and Xel say, something in your dream can only exist if you acknowlege it being there, ignore it out of your mind.
