In my native country there is a myth say if you cross your legs while sleeping you will have nightmare. Like while your real body's legs are crossing, your dream body can't walk and it create fear and such. So I want to ask experienced lucid dreamers try doing it to see what will happen, maybe even experiment with tying our hands together or ask a mate poking your body while you lucid.
this is not true. Unless your in sleep paralysis you can move even if your legs were taped to the bed. I always lucid dream with my legs crossed, it's very comfortable.
Hmm, the idea is making your physical body uncomfortable and see the effect to LD. As you said crossing legs is comfortable to you so in result no effect to your dream
ive read where OBEer's will tie a string to their leg as a dreamsign.
if someone does something to your body like poke it, shine a light, or talk to you, it can definitely manifest in your dreams in various ways.
That's a good idea, I will try ask my friend to whisper while im in REM something like "hey dude you are dreaming"
