      New Teleportation Method....

Okay, so I was researching the vast amounts of info on this site about the way our mind creates the content for our dreams. One of the things it had was that when you focus on one thing, everything else disappears. So, after taking a little stroll through some Forum Threads, I suddenly had an idea.

What if, when you wanted to teleport somewhere, you focused on say the dirt beneath your feet, or a piece of wood, or SOMETHING that would/could also be in the place you want to teleport to. Your mind would solely detail that small patch of dirt or wood or whatever you choose, and then once it as detailed as possible, or when everything else is gone, simply think of the new place, and where what you are looking at would be in this new scene, and then broaden your view and allow your mind to conjure the new place around what is a constant in each scene.

Anyway I don't know if this works in actuality, but if someone wants to try it I would love to see their results. I just wanted to post it before I forget. Theoretically it should, but i am fairly new to this so still learning the ropes. Anyway, later!

I've only actively teleported in one dream before. What I did was looked at the place I wanted to teleport to, thought about being there and concentrated on my surroundings being those of the place I wanted to teleport to instead of where I actually was, convinced myself it would work, and I teleported several times at about 30 feet per teleport. I was chasing some frog-dude and, since I run as slow as hell in most of my dreams, teleporting seemed like the only way to keep up with him. I just thought about being there and knew I would be and I was. The way I did it, you just have to be fully confident that it will work. I don't think I could have teleported much farther though, which is probably why it wouldn't have worked if I tried.

Your way sounds like it could work rather effectively. The only possible problem I can think of would be you teleporting to just a similar place to what you intended, or with just the same thing you were concentrating on in instead of the entire location you seek.

Ive never tried teleporting small distances. I use teleporting to get to completely different areas. I just know that it is out there somewhere and I want to be there. I dont focus on myself getting there I just think of wanting to be there and I can either take a step from one place directly to another or I just kinda close my eyes and open them again and Im there.

You know, that is true....it would indeed be very hard to teleport to the sahara from the amazon....very good point.....I suppose the closing your eyes and visualizing your next place method would be more efficient and allow for a broader range of locations. But if some methods don't work for me, I may never get to the Sahara....

Thanks for the post by the way, insightful and constructive.

PS- one more thing, did you catch the Frog Man? Curiosity is a killer I know but :/

Ahaha, No. He was jumping too quickly for me to catch him, just barely out of my reach. Damn frog man, I'll never get him.

When I teleport, I think of the place I want to go, and blink. But, if it's far away, I create a portal.

Yeah it works no problem, I did it in this dream when I was going to phase through the ceiling, but didn't really know where it would bring me.

I did it fairly easily, but I didnt really think about it too much. I've done similar techniques to change certain aspects of the dream around me by focusing on one thing until the scene/thing I wanted to change, changed.

Interesting thought, I think I will give this a a go next time I am lucid and want to go somewhere. I will see if I can tweak it a bit though for my style

      Take Care,

The easiest method I've used when teleporting is spinning. I have also teleported a short distance, about twenty metres (sixty feet). I did that simply by stepping trough the air. Seeing the destination may help a lot.

That's a very interesting idea you've got there. Seems like it could be very useful, especially for people who have trouble teleporting by other methods. I'll give it a try.

You are absolutely correct. That's an excellent way to teleport, and should in theory work for everyone. I've had too much to drink to go into further detail, but you've described the method very well.
