Thread: Want to play Pink Floyd solo

Since there are no replies yet, I might as well take a crack at it. Though keep in mind that I have not recently had a lucid and by recently I mean a long time, not for a few years... Anyways, from waht I do remember, it should be possible. I mean dreams do not have to logically make sense so you can play it perfectly but not necessarily know how to play guitar. I mean if you believe, you can do anything in a dream.

If I were you I may try looking up from the guitar and playing it blind and believing that I will play that solo and that should work for playing.

However, if Your question is about playing it and thenw aking up knowing how to play it, I don't have an answer. I mean I have figured out riffs and other things I didn't get on the guitar through dreams in the past, hell, it happened to me yesterday... But I'm not sure if it would always work.

I've played the saxophone fairly well before in my dreams, though never really lucid, but I did have some amount of control. I was improvising the same as I would in real life, only in real life I have never even tried playing a saxophone. Based on that experience I'd say you can definitely play the solo in a lucid dream even though you don't know it in real life. You'll just have to practice, the same as you would in the real world.

You don't really have to know how to play it, based on what I've heard, as long as you can imagine yourself playing it that should be close enough.
