      Passive Control

Sometime simply summoning things or teleporting is hard, so you hail a cab or open doors to make things easier in a dream. Recently I needed my laptop in an LD but couldn't summon it so I phoned a friend and said "Can you get me my laptop in 3 seconds?" And far out, he enters the room with my laptop 3 seconds later. I waste a lot of valuable dream time with this assisted control acquiring objects or going places and am in need of better shortcuts instead of the weird stuff I come up with in my dreams. Anyone know any other quick techniques to get or do stuff without having to concentrate too hard?

I do the "turn around and it will be there" thing... basically I just tell myself it will be there when I turn my head, and it is. If it's not, I just turn around again. Usually by three turns it is there. Or I close my hand and then open it up, knowing that when I open it up, the item will be there.

Yeah the hand thing used to work for me. Thing is, now I expect failure. So when I open my hand I know it will not be there because I'm trying too hard. My brain loves to screw with me.

I pull things out of my pocket, or expect it to be in a cupboard or something like that, some sort of compartment.

Oh, and no, my brain screws with me more, I make a door (from the roof), a basketball (that does not bounce), and, most annoying of all, I make a clock on a wall about 20 meters away as a random thing to do and I go closer to see what it says, but it shrinks oas I get closer, it's got about a 3cm diameter. As I walked away, it got better.
