Losing it so to speak.
A quick question. I was wondering if anyone upon realizing your dreaming and you start to wake up, do you lose your "dream conscientiousness" like you black out? or anything?
This can happen at anytime of the dream. Or have you ever been "pulled out" of a dream by some force, where you end up in a pitch black area, and ahead of you, you can see the image of the dream fading away? Also have you ever zoomed back into a dream scene that you lost? Its weird to explain this. Maybe people that are just beginning lucid dreaming can relate?

So by black out I am guessing you mean the dream fades away into blackness.. If that's the case it's actually pretty easy to overcome, or at least in my case it was. Every time I became lucid the dream would fade like that and I would wake up, but now I just relax when its all black like that, and either re-imagine the scene I was just in or a new one. Hopefully this helps!

Dude i can totally relate to you, i was just having a conversation with a mate of mine and explaining a experience i had
it was one of my most interesting experiences i had, because i tried to push the limit of prolonging my dream...but
like you said, i could see the dream in the distance fading away... i tried to keep up with it in vainity, i dont know why! i just couldnt keep up with the scenery, it was fascinating as hell tho! at one point i did a sorta of teleportation and landed in a puddle of water, trying to grabb onto something as i watched dc's walk past me with no problem at all, it was strange... its as if a dream exists in its own universe and it travels on with or without you
at one point, i watched as the islands them selves up lifted them selves and started leaping away into the distance....

Yea, like that sorta. When I black out, I feel like my body is in the middle of a black void and its just floating there waiting for either myself to wake up or to have a new dream.

Most of the time, when I notice the dream fading, I wake to a false awakening. I assume this means I am just dreaming about waking up. Maybe something in the dream reminded me of waking up? Maybe I thought about myself back in bed, and the dream shifted to dreaming about myself back in bed. When I wake from a dream without a FA, it is normally abrupt, and I have no chance of stopping it.

Yes, definately. Happens to me alot... Just look at my dream journal "Fail at Flight".
