      lucids vs. nonlucids

I was wondering if anybody has experienced more intence dreams during nonlucid dreams rather than lucids. I'am asking this because many of my dreams where ive felt more within myself and one with myself were in dreams where I wasn't aware of being in a dream. My lucids are great but doesn't compare with some of my nonlucids ive had.

Has anyone experienced this or have an explanation for it?

I don't really understand what your asking,

I personally find Lucid dreams and non lucid dreams as different as being awake-reality and dreams,

like.. they are 2 completly different things,

One u don't have control over, the other u do,

more intense ? I find lucid dreams more intense because i can observe everything, i can go up to a wall and put my eyes right up to, feel the energy off it, see every grain and pore in it,
      that's intense,

but then in non lucid dreams, like nightmares and stuff, yea that's intense too, cause crazy crazy stuff can happen that ya think is real,
like falling off a cliff, that's intense.. haha
They say dreaming is dead and noone does it anymore. It's not dead, it's just been forgotten, removed from our language. Nobody teaches it, so nobody knows it exists. .. waking life

Yeah, i think i know what you mean. I haven't had many lucids before, so i'm really not qualified to give an experienced answer. But i've had many non-lucid dreams and some were certainly more intense, vivid and personalised than any of the lucids.

the clearest most vivid dream i can remember

it began with a false awakening, and i got up out of bed, and then got dressed and went to school, just as i normally would. I went to school and had conversations with my friends before class, and everything was so real, i never would have guessed i was dreaming. and then as i was heading to class with my friends, just as i normally do, i woke up.

George: Time to pull out the basket, and we dig into some hot... Son of a bitch!
Richard Simmons: Oh! Look what you did! You plopped it!
George: I’ll plop you, you mincing little...

I know what you mean. So far my non lucid dreams are more vivid than my lucid ones. When I become lucid I have to find a balance between letting the dream take over or waking up. What I end up with is a less vivid dream as some things fade away because I'm right on the edge of waking up. When I was a kid my lucid dreams were just as real as the regular ones though so I'm thinking its just a matter of practice makes perfect.

I have had some very vivd non-lucids...and some very unvivid lucids. But for the most part my lucids are extremely realistic and vivid...almost hyper-real. They are fantastic. I definitely think the more you have the more real and wonderful they will become (ok did that sound like a line out of the Neverending Story or is it just me). Anyway...since I have had ALOT of lucids, I guess that I have just had more vivid ones than someone who has had only a few lucids.

Oh yeah...SleepSpirit, walls have pores? hehe.

I luv Never ending story !

Umm.... well not pores i guess.. haha, WHAT EVR
I dunno, just like... go up to a wall and look, u can like see the bumbs from the paint, well. . . i can see those in my lucids, every little detail... ..
So.. what i'm saying. . . . is my lucids are pretty much as clear as waking life as long as i take a moment.. just stop. . . . . . and focus... everything gets more and more clear, the less I move, the less I think.. . the more I clear my thoughts,
my non lucids, have their ups and downs, but are never as clear as that.. ..

Ok heres my view point on this:

Lucid or non-lucid dreams are not two separate things, just like light blue and dark blue aren't two separate things. It's simply a different shade of one thing (the color blue).

The shading with dreams is simply how conscious you are. In a lucid dream you are very conscoius. But guess what, you can be very conscious in a non-lucid dream. You can be very aware of the reality around you, without realizing what it is (ie. a dream).

I believe all dreams have some consciousness to them, its just different levels of awareness and what your aware of that differientiates them.

So I believe non-lucid or lucids can both be intense, because you can be conscious of your reality without knowing your dreaming.

The key is simply: "what are you aware of?" that defines how vivid something will be, and if its lucid or not.

      -Daniel

The human mind has far greater potential than society has conditioned you to believe.

This one time, I had this really fake-feeling lucid dream in which I flew into space. Felt less like I was really there, more like just imagining than how my dreams usually feel. I've had extremely vivid lucid and non lucid dreams as well.
