      Desperately in need of Assistance

      Wassup DV,

I haven't been on here in a minute, but I pretty much took a break from lucid dreaming for a while. I figured that I needed sleep for school and what not, bnut I've decided to start back up again.

So last night was my first night back on LDing, and I had three lucid dreams
BUT, they were so boring; it feels like I have no control over my dream.

I mainly WILD now, and every time I get into the dream, I'm always at my house. I wan't to go somewhere different, but it seems like I'm stuck at my house. The only LD I had that wasn't at my house was in this city, and it was one of the best LDs I've ever had. I want to duplicate this feeling, so the bottom line is:
How can I exert more control over my dream so I don't end up stuck at my house when I WILD and such? Like, I would like to start off my dream somewhere else other than my home. I feel like if I can learn to go to other places, I could take my lucidity to a whole other level, since I don't have a problem at all inducing a LD.

      Thanks

Maybe you could try to leave the house instead of wandering around? When you leave the house just go around the neighborhood (or apartment complex) and get a feel for LDing again. You can't really expect to have full control after taking a break for a while. BTW, it's want, not wan't.

That's the thing, there's NOTHING around my house, not even other houses. It's nothing but country roads. I kind of want a way to start of somewhere else instead of my house every single time instead of wasting my time wandering around. Ex, how do I enter outer space, because every time I try, the dream fades out.

Maybe you could use some popular technique: opening a door and expecting it to lead to someplace else. Or maybe you could expect an extra door and open that for it to lead to an unknown part of your house.

Yeah, learning how to teleport would be the best.
For example, you can kick the ground and expect for an underground civilization to be right below, or make the window into a portal, so it will lead outside. Other than that, you can try and make the scenary yourself, like making buildings grow or making a forest and stuff like that.

yes, either teleport or fly or some means of quick transport, or do visualization while you are WILDing to lead your forming dream in a different direction.

That's one of my main problems right now....I have lots of FAs in my room, become lucid but it's dark and boring.I try to fly somewhere or change the scenery but I either end up in another FA or wake up...
Any efficient ways to teleport? The spinning technique usually wakes me up so I don't know what to do...

Try using doors or windows, making a portal or closing your eyes and imagining a new scenary.

So you have a lucid dream where you are in your house and you want to be in a different location. Everytime you open a door, turn a corner or walk down a set of stairs the only thing that causes you to still be in your home/neighborhood is your expectation. So they key is to trick yourself into expecting a different location.

The easiest way I have found of doing this is to go underground. Walk into your basement and look for a staircase leading you below ground. Walk down the stairs, and you will find yourself in a tunnel of some sort. Then look for another staircase going back up. Just as you get to the top of the staircase you will find a door. Before you open this door expect, believe and envision whatever type of landscape you wish to be on the other side. When you open the door it will be there.

You see you could do this already when you open the front door of your house, but the expectation is so strong that it will be your driveway and your front yard that it can be difficult to generate a new scene. By going underground, you have disassociated yourself from your own home, so that when you go back up you have a blank slate. Who knows what is behind that door which leads above ground? Therefore, it is up to you to decide what type of scene will be there upon opening the door.

If you get creative, you can view some very spectacular scenery.

Andra, try stabalizing the dream first by slowing down and taking a good look around the scene, your hands and body. Then try teleporting.

If you're always dreaming of your house when you fall asleep, I would guess you fall asleep pretty quickly? Dreams from around what you have your attention focused on, and if you fall asleep easily, the last thing you would have been aware of was you house.

Try to incubate a different location by focusing on it as you fall asleep.

I agree with The Cusp on this one. It takes a little more effort than your standard WILD, but it should solve the problem handily.
