Problems trying to increase lucidity

Hi, recently I've been having lots of lucid dreams in sequence in the same night. Usually when I wake up at night I can simply fall asleep again and I will directly enter in a lucid dream. The problem is that I can't stay in the dream for more than 1 minute :(

I've tried many things, like spinning, rubbing my hands, doing reality checks (these even seem to decrease my lucidity). I really don't know what to do now that I can finally have lucid dreams with little effort.

Also, the dreams feel and look weird, my dream body feels kind of numb, and my vision is not very clear.

My wish is to have dreams that last at least about 20 minutes. Any ideas?

When I have long lucids its because I fade into semi lucidity a little and go with the story, then fade in with lucidity again in the same dream, then repeat. I know It sounds hard. But thats how mine are long.

Your timing might be bad. Do you wake up after a dream, then try to reenter another dream? You're probably at the end of that REM cycle. Try changing your timing so that you are going back to sleep at a time when you know you will be entering a long period of dreaming.

i was having the same problem as you until the last 2 LDs i had
that was in sequence too.

Every time i was trying to increase lucidity, clarity and stuff, i was doing the Rubbing hand thing, and the dream became darker, and i wake up after a little time

I learned that, you have to the Rubbing hands focusing on the feeling of your hands, the contact between the 2 hands

Try to look at your fingers and see the texture.
but dont focus for too long

and start tripping, otherwise you wake up, cuz u need to keep doing things in the dream!

Ah, first problem, you can't increase lucidity, just how clear/vivid the dream is.

Anyway, have you tried paying more attention to the dream and using your other senses?

yes, increasing lucidity doesnt mean anything. you're lucid, you dont need lucidity techiniques. what you mean is increase clarity or stabilize when you rub your hands you have to be concentrated. And you have to find a balance between doing and not doing, because if you do too much or too little you will not pay enough attention to your dream and it will fade away.

Try yelling out 'Increase Lucidity' !
