      Controlling dreams - for beginners

Hi I'm new here and want to ask how people really controll their dreams and if there are any negative side effects.

I can have very vivid dreams that I totally remember when I wake up however I want to have these more often! How can I make myself dream this?

Are there negative side effects? If so what?

I read somewhere you keep a note book etc?

      Please help out thanks

      sophie

As far as I know, there aren't any side effects to lucid dreaming. Keeping a notebook/dream journal is definitely a good idea and the tutorial section would be a great place to start looking for tips and answers to general questions.

just if think about it or say you are going to do it
sometimes it can't work (for me) but i just re-try
it can be just mental restriction in that scenario

well I dont really know I just do it. It would be easier for me to fly than to lift just one eyebrow.
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

Lucid dreams are based on expectations. If you expect for someone to be behind a door and truly believe it, then they should be behind the door. If you expect that you can control fire and you truly believe in it, then you should be able to control fire. etc etc.
