      Attaining "sensation" during lucid dreams

Well, I haven't posted here in many, many years...

I was once very much into lucidity and dreaming, but have ended up running out of free time / hours I can devote to dreaming in addition to my other hobbies. I keep up my dream journal while I can, and surprisingly, I still have some lucid dreams here in there.

But what's bothered me for a while is that whenever I do become lucid, I feel no sensation. In fact, later, when I remember my lucidity, it feels like a normal dream - almost like I dreamt that I was lucid. And this isn't just a recent development: from the seven, eight times I've been completely lucid, there's only been one or two times I've had the sensation of being awake and sensing the world. And only one of those times lasted longer than a few seconds. Control of the dream comes easily; in the last three I've had, I've been able to control them and use the time I have to enjoy myself, but I don't remember any physical sensation at all.

Does anyone have any tips and tricks? I'd love to get back into lucidity again, now that I'm sleeping more this semester, and having more lucids than I ever did back in high school. Apologies if I've misplaced the thread or failed to find another that can help me.

I've had three DILDs in the last year, one tactile, two in the last three months that were dreamlike.

I'd also like an answer. The same thing happens to me too.

I ususally touch thigs and concenrtate on what I'm feeling- it usually helps clarity and control as well, it's always a good thing to do.
when i have a lucid dream the first thing I will do isorder a pizza.

      PIZZA
      pizza is sacred.

I do that, it kinda fixes it, but then it just fades away like normal.

i tend to viisualise a lake like a did in my first lucid this provides me with the sound of water the image and the sensation the water creates and the tempreture of the water it, for me is a very good way of fixing it.

Well, I put a lot of focus onto the dream, like try to feel the ground/air as I'm walking, the heat of the sun or the cold of the night, the clothes and that kind of stuff.

Usually things such as physical senses (touch, taste, hearing) won't appear unless you focus on them.

If you want to feel touch, touch something. You may not be looking for the sensation while lucid, and only remembering its absence upon awakening.

They are definitely there if you look for them. I can run my hand across a gravel street and feel the texture.

I do what Walms does. I guess there's a bit of expectation in there, too. When I touch glass, I expect it to be slightly cold. When I touch a door, I expect the wood to be slightly rough.

Are your dream hands pretty stable? My dream hands are pretty stable, they always look just like my waking hands. I usually have no problem feeling objects in my dream, though sometimes don't feel the way I expect. And if my feet are pretty stable, then I can feel the ground.

Try that approach? Try to stabilize your dream body. Look at your hands, or flex your fingers until you can feel your fingers flexing like in real life. Play with your toes until you can feel your feet well grounded on the floor. Then you can slowly try to feel the rest of your body.

I think once your dream body is nice and solid it's easier to experience the dream as waking life. Dream wind and dream rain feels great!

I recommend that you first stabilize the dream, by touching things, looking at things or simply just sitting down and waiting for a while.

I wonder if it is just your memory of the dream that lacks sensation. Make a point of checking this out next time you are lucid. Make a note to yourself, "Does this feel real, now?" Then you just have to remember whether you answered yes or no. It is very difficult to remember whether or not something felt real. Memories are always squishy.
