      Dream travel

I have heard people say that a few ways to travel from place to place inyour dream is to visualize it, and open a door and walk through and hopefuly what you see is where you wana be, or to spin among other things.

I just wanted to share my experience last night in my dream. My dream was not lucid but I am excited to try it when I am lucid. I was inmy high school from 6 years ago and had forgotten my books outside in the parking lot, I was on the third floor of the building and did not have time to run and get them. For some reason i had this idea to concentrate on where I wanted to go and visualize it, fall backwards from a standing position and close my eyes while i fell. I did this and When i opened my eyes, I was exactly where I wanted to be, but i noticed it was raining out, and when i did open my eyes, they were blurry at first like I had just woken up. Some people saw me just appear there and were confused and stunned bout where I had come from.

that's my little adventure. I'm going to try this agian once I can have a lucid dream again. It was pretty insane to actually visualize going somewhere and actually doing it!

I close my eyes and fall backwards when I'm only slightly lucid, but want to wake up from a nightmare. I've actually woken up once using that technique, but the other couple of times I've entered FAs. I wouldn't recommend closing your eyes during a lucid because many people report waking up (they lose awareness of what's going on around them); unless you can really imagine the visual, tactile, and auditory aspects of the place you want to go, I suggest not trying that.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

yeah a quick spin can also do that. you just have to make sure you are grounded in the dream first or it will destabalise or just wake up. hmm how about rather than closing your eyes which can wake you up, just hold something up in front of your eyes briefly and expect that when you lower it, you will be in your new location...

Right, a dream spin can wake you up if you go too fast. It's really just to help with stabilization; if you want to teleport using it, it's best to still spin slowly while visualizing the place you want to go.

It won't wake you up if you don't think it will. i think that's a great idea like it is, i'll try it!
