Post The More Self Control, The Less Dream Control

It seems like the more Self-Control I have, meaning like, the less instinctive I am, I can be calm and remember my goals and stuff, Examples:

      - Not being instinctive
      - Fully aware of what I'm doing
      - The ability to be calm
      - Remembering detailed Real Life things
      - Being able to take in what's around me without being weird
      - As a side, things are more stable and unchanging, everything else is also normal
      - I can calmly sit down and think without the dream losing stability

In my opinion that would be my conscious mind being stronger, which also makes my dreams last longer.
      __________________________________________________ ______________________

But, the more I can control myself, the less dream things I can do, Examples:

      - I can't seem to even do things that are usually easy
      - I'm more bound to physics
      -

Basically, I can't do as much. Just a theory, but I think this is because if my conscious mind is more in control, I know I can't do these things.

OK, so 2 things, am I right about my theory, and if so, could I still control the dreams with practice?

I find it unlikely that being too conscious or aware is stopping you from using control. Maybe when you recall real life in detail you are imposing some of the waking life limitations into your dreams (gravity, etc.). You might have just decided to omit these from your list but I think that realizations such as "This is all in my mind" or "I can alter this environment" are more conducive to dream control than memories of waking life which may be associated with the laws of reality keeping you from controlling the dream.

That's what I meant, because I am more conscious and know of my awake life perfectly, I, whether or like it or not, have slight doubts of things because I can do because it seems so real and my conscious mind normally doesn't think these things can be done.

Its simply the doubts you have to learn to abandon, and while fully conscious, fully abandon waking life limitations too.

Once you accept that you are in a dream and fully conscious BUT can do what you want - it will all change.

I've experienced the same thing. I often do things easily and without second thought while partially lucid, but then fail to do them when I am fully aware.

I haven't really found a work around yet, expect that once you practice a certain ability, it can be done easily even while fully lucid.

So if you are having trouble using telekinesis while fully aware, practice it each time you dream until it becomes second nature. Eventually you won't have that doubt any more when fully conscious, because you have done it so many times in the past.
