WILD into darkness
I had my second successful WILD this morning around 10am when it was really bright already. I woke up, went to the toilet and went back to sleep with the intention of doing a WILD however, I have a memory gap here (Usually I can remember myself struggling to get into SP). The next thing I remember, I had the vibrations. The vibrations made it really hard to breathe and I let go. Luckily, the vibrations came again and I successfully WILDed.
However, I woke up into pitch darkness in my bed. It was very intimidating and I was semi-lucid (unlike the first time I WILDed where I was fully lucid). So I closed my eyes and tried to visualize a beach but I couldn't change the scene. Eventually I "fell asleep" trying to do that.
I had a false awakening after that.
If this ever happens again, what should I do? I've been faithfully trying to WILD for 2 weeks now and I succeeded but it's lame. How do I make the best of it if I fail again?

Well I don't have a lot of experience but I would recommend concentrating on making one object first. Then build your dreamscape around that object. I hope this helps, it worked for me.

Hi Dreampainter,
I have had dreams go dark on many occasions. What I would recommend is that you either start spinning or try falling backwards. While doing either, imagine where you want to be, and with luck and practice you should be able to go there via passive dream control. This may result in a false awakening though, so be sure to get in the habit of reality checking.
Another idea is to just go with the darkness. You should feel the vibrations of SP again, and go into another lucid dream.
Good luck.
