Novadreamer experience

Thought I'd post my experience with Novadreamer in case anyone's interested... I bought one of these about 12 years ago but never had any success with it (I used to put it on when I went to bed but think I was always too anxious to get into a dream and never seemed to get any sleep because of it) so I gave up on it and it sat in storage until a few days ago. I took it out with a view to selling it on ebay (they seem to get a reasonable price and I wanted to get myself an Ipod!) but checked it was working first. My moment of inspiration was in only putting on the mask in the last hour or so of my sleep (the vast majority of dreams that I can recall are in that time). So I set my alarm to wake me at 5:30am and put on the mask, the theory being that I quickly fall back to sleep (too tired to start worrying about whether or not I'll dream). Result - I lucid dreamed at the first attempt! Ok I didn't stay in the lucid state for long (woke up almost immediately) but I was blown away that it worked. In my dream I was walking around a corner and suddenly experienced a 'headache' with flashing white lights. Almost immediately I thought of the Novadreamer (even though the lights are red) and reached for it, I couldn't feel it in my dream but it was enough for me to realise that I was in a dream. Unfortunately I got carried away and tried to do all those things every lucid dreamer wants to do and woke very quickly. Guess what - I'm not selling it now, I'm hoping to get some tips now in how to prolong my lucid experience - looks like there's some good stuff on the forum. H

verynice welcome to the forum, look around and ask for some tips if you need em. i dont know much about nova dreamer so its sorta foreign to me on how it works

I use the REM dreamer and it works great. I have gotten about 5 lucids from it. (when I was beginning)
