Question How do i keep myself stable???

The last two LDs ive had ive qotten lucid, but i dont qet that feelinq anymore (is that normal?) Anyways i realize im dreamin and i do my RCs just to make sure. Okay so im deffinetley dreamin now, so i think of somethin to do and im in the middle of it, and then all of a sudden i just fade and wake up. This really frustrates me because i can only be lucid for a few minutes and then i just wake up. I dont get excited or anything, so that cant be waking me up. sometimes i evn feel the dream slipping so i rub my hands together and they dont help at all. Someone please tell me whats going on

Try doing statements like shouting "Increase lucidity" it's helped me a few times, if not then try spinning for some reason it works for other members. hope that helped! good luck!

Maybe close your eyes, and imagine a new backround?
You could also imagine someone there, and let them help you with your dream. Ask them to help so that the dream doesn't fade.
You could even make yourself have powers that causes the dream scene to either change, or be more vivid. To use your powers, I'd suggest to imagine light come out of your hands and make it change. It worked for me. This should work, if you are confident with LD'ing.

closing eyes usually ends a dream, it rarerly ever works. basically closing your eyes in a lucid blocks almost all awareness of being lucid, so it could very well end a lucid a hell of a lot faster.

I have found that your focus has a lot to do with stability. Not just your visual focus but also the focus of your thoughts. Do not focus on one thing for too long. Keep moving and don't just stand there in your dream thinking too deeply. Have a rough plan in mind before you go to sleep. Don't rush through the dream either, or that will take the fun out of it. Stability will come with practice, your body isn't used to thinking consciously in dreams, so it might take some time. My lucid dreams have gotten longer and more stable with time and practice. Don't give up!
      LUCID DREAM GOALS:

fly a magic carpet and snipe people from it [ ]

I don't suffer from sleep paralysis, I enjoy every second of it.

^ This=good. As for your question to lynn I think she means to communicate with a DC to keep stabile in the dream... thats not a great idea if you want to fully insure yourself stablilization. I suggest the same stabilization techniques I mentioned before. good luck!
