Summoning with Intent... Tips?

Hey All,

I'm very new to Lucid Dreams, but i've been immersing myself in it as much as possible. Thanks to this site, and LaBarge's "Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming" I have plenty to get me started.

I've had 3 Lucids this week, the last one this morning. I was able to fly with no difficulty, and running on water was fascinating.

However, another goal was for me to summon a Lightsaber. I found a statue, and firmly intended the Lightsaber to be behind it. When I reached for it, I found myself holding a pocket knife instead. Do any of you with more experience have tips for focusing my intent/expectations to summon the object I'm looking for? Perhaps saying what I want out loud would help?
