Why cant I teleport?

Hi guys, last night I had my 4th lucid dream and it was the best dream of my life but i also had 2 problems with dream control. For one I tryed to teleport to the end of the world (my first time trying to teleport) it didnt work. I would walk around a corner and i would think to my self "when i turn this corner there will be a teleporter" and sure enough there was. But there was a problem with this. When I tryed to go through this nothing happened at all . why not? and what should i do instead? Also when I went up to somone to "talk" she told me she had a boyfriend and even though I was lucid this make total sense. Why was this?

for things like teleporting its different for every person, the normal method might work, or something different. in my last lucid i was trying to get somewhere but it kept getting farther away on my "mini map"(more of a concept of a map, no real image). i got to stairs that branched off in 2 directions and didnt know where to go, and a dc said spit in the way you think you should go and walk the other way. that made no sense at all and i thought she was crazy but it actually worked and i got to where i wanted to go, so talking to dc's can really help out if you have a question. also for the girl with the boyfriend, maybe you should just say "so?" lol.

Your teleportation relied on a "device", a device that would need to be working in order for you to travel. What I felt happened is that there was too much doubt with this foreign device...will it work, how does it work, etc...and that is ultimately what led to it not working. Next time, try simply opening a door, and on the other side of the door is the location of where you want to be (as opposed to something that will help you get to the place you want to be). The simpler the method of travel, the less opportunity there is for one of the "dream mechanisms" to fail. After all, why conjure a dream car, that will bring you to a dream facility, that contains a dream teleporter...when you can just conjure the place you want to go and skip all the extra steps?
