Licking Various Things

In a lucid dream last night, I decided to lick things to see if they made things clearer. I'm pretty sure i read a thread about licking things to make things clearer.

I licked the floor and it didnt taste of anything, I decided to lick a leaf on some hedge. Now, as a kid I have eaten a leaf off a hedge so I know what they taste like. I chewed on the leaf, it tasted the same except 10 times more powerful, I was so suprised it woke me up.

The common hedges in england have leaves that taste tangy/sour from my memories. I know its disgusting but I was just a kid that had a funny lucid dream when he was older that involved this experience.

Do not lick things that you know will taste bad. Especially that most common thing you find on the floor.

Ive also licked a brick wall in a dream, and some dirt on the ground.

I will become the ultimate taste tester.

I often use this to stabilize dreams. I've licked walls, floors, eaten a rug, eaten dirt. You're right about being careful what to taste though. When I decided to eat dirt I completely filled my mouth with it; it tasted so strong and felt so disgusting I almost gagged which woke me up rather than stabilizing the dream.

I've had pizza in a hazzier lucid, and it tasted pertty good from what I can remember! ;)

I went through a biting phase for a little while. Not to make things clearer, but just to try eating things that I couldn't normally. I took a bite out of a tree branch, a candle stick, and a blanket, in three different lucid dreams. They didn't really taste like anything, though.

The funny thing about this LD I had about eating leaves is that i was planning on doing the whole OBE thing but decidedNO I shall lick the floor then I shall eat some hedge leaves.

That will be a fulfilling LD today.

I just realized that I never ever smelled or tasted something in a dream. And I do not think of this disgusting or hilarous. I have another thing, to pay attention to.

Tasted lawn grass in an LD and it tasted like licorice it did stabilize the dream a bit. Getting your senses involved does work.

You guys should try tasting a blue waffle and post the results.

Anyway, I ate chocolate covered caramel in one lucid dream, which helped in the stabilization a little bit. I'll have to try licking things.

Slippers are delicious.

I licked concrete I had bits of rocks on my tounge after that .It made my LD very stable

last night I tried licking things in a lucid dream. I didn't notice it helping with vividness or anything, but it was still an interesting experiment. First I licked a blanket on my bed and it didn't feel or taste like much of anything. Then I licked the carpet and it felt like you would expect. I even had bits of lint stuck to my tongue after. Then I licked the metal railing on my dream bed. It tasted weird. Not sure how to describe it.

So there you go, I licked things in a lucid dream :P

Wow, now I wanna start eating stuff that you shouldn't really. I wonder how tasting a can of paint will feel. Maybe some gasoline or drywall. I'll give myself superteeth for nails and other metals. Or make up fake dream foods and try those!

Good things taste great in lucid dream - peanut butter for example. So I suppose it's reasonable that gross things taste more awful.

Can't say I've licked random things, but I've eaten random things. I should do that less actually :shock:. Just two nights ago I almost made myself sick from some super weird taco mushroom (a mushroom with beefy insides, seasonings and weird textural stuff). It had a FUNKY greasy after flavor, bleh!

I should try eating a mushroom in a lucid dream. That might have an interesting effect.

Very interesting, ya eating shrooms while in a dream would be sweet! I still havnt been able to eat anything yet in an LD, I should prob tackle that first. Let me know if you have any interesting effects.

This is weird, I hadnt seen my dream guide in a long long time, when I finally met up with them again, they licked me like a dog would.

I fucking Googled that just now. I knew it wasn't going to be as awesome as it sounds and I still did it. With my sister in the room. >_>

In my first lucid dream, as soon as I realized I was in dreamland I lost visuals. I was standing in line at a school cafe. I grabbed thick fries and ate them to get my visuals back. I licked some barbecue meat thing and then was back in the dream. Didn't last long after that, though.

I tried involving all my senses in some dreams. Using touch, smelling things, seeing things, hearing things, licking things too. The feelings are usually way more intense then real life or simply aren't there at all.

I had another lucid dream. This time I felt, smelled, and tasted grass. It was very vivid. I don't think it tasted more strongly than it would irl, but it definitely tasted like I thought it would.

I ate a piece of park off a tree before to try and stabalize. I then woke up into a false awakening in which I had bark in my mouth. I procceeded to take the bark out of my mouth and put it on my floor like nothing was wrong. I then went back to bed but then woke up for real. I didn't even realize that bark in my mouth was fake and I was still dreaming. I was just really out of it.

I lick many things in my dreams, the ground, the wall, a tree, the water, electricity, and, like any other guy, I licked a girl's.......cake, tasted like real chocolate cake too, I stole it :D

lol, there's a theory around the internet that in the mushroom kingdom, cake equals sex.

I thought of it because of your reference to what any guy would want to lick that is related to girls.

This is kinda my main goal for LD. I'm on a very restricted diet during waking hours and I was thinking maybe if I indulged in all the things I can't have while awake, it would make it a little easier. First, I need to master actually getting LDs on purpose...

LD'ing on purpose is overrated. Before I got stressed out about things, 1/4 of my dreams were lucid by accident, or a DILD. Only 1 of my lucids were on purpose.

PS. Thanks for the goal, i'm not good with too much sweets so i'm gonna eat till I spew rainbows in a dream

Many people can only LD on purpose. Such as myself. >.<

In my third lucid, I ate shredded parmesan cheese to stabilize.

Last night during the waking part of WBTB, I told myself I would eat something in my dream. I wasn't lucid but I spent most of that dream running around for something to eat and all I managed was a bite off a cookie.

There is much room for improvement.

I tried this last night and it worked really well. It's like a dream spin, but more practical.

i wasnt lucid but i actually made ice cream in a dream the other night. eating that definatly made it a very stable long dream, but even wondering how i had managed to make ice cream in a few minutes didnt get me lucid :) oddly it was just like ice cream with a great texture, yet didnt have that much flavour

I was all up for the licking blue waffles thing. Until I googled it. Holy shit, you ruined ability to fantasize all innocently.

Just seeing a blue waffle would jolt me out of the dream. I don't want to think about licking one.

I have never licked anything in my dreams but I like to eat apples to help me stabilize them. Last night though I bit off my dream guide's ear. It had a marshmallowy texture too it with a peanutbutter coconut flavor. Delicious. :cheeky:

I want to do dream salvia. I wonder if it would make me hallucinate.maybe change dream scape to something freaky. like salvia would be the only way to teleport to a certain place

If you lick a blue waffle in your dreams it tastes like moldy fish. Google it and hit I'm Feeling Lucky, if you're brave.

I also use licking for stabilizing, if nothing else is available I lick my hands. Then the other day in a LD I walked past a big screen and there was running some advertisement. Then it announced, that whoever would lick the screen and bring his face right close to it would win a ticket for a trip to Paris. So I thought, that might be fun and licked the screen. :cheeky: But then the screen declared, that they were all out of tickets. :panic:

Licked my cat, but woke up because the sensation of a mouth full of cat hair is just... not cool. At all.

I've licked pussy in lucid dreams also. I don't think I've ever woke up because of it though.

I was so close to licking cotton candy (not normal cotton candy, but fuzzy green one and a blue one with a strange surface) two nights ago, but the French pastry shop I was in had run out of cotton candy :(

Last night I became lucid during a dream and remembered to rub my hands, then I licked my hands (they tasted of nothing in particular), then I licked the outer wall of a train (tasted mainly cold and a bit of iron), then a golden, wing-shaped earring that was hanging from the side of the train (tasted sour and of iron) and then the ground (was dry and a bit dusty, but didn't taste of anything).

Woooh! I'm so happy. This is the first time ever I set myself a task for an LD and I made it to carry it out right in the first LD I had after setting the task :banana:

My LDs are in bits and comes very rare, stress of studies wouldn't let me accomplish my LD tasks.

I've never accomplished any of the goals I make on purpose, I keep getting distracted by DC's.

In my last lucid, I poured powdered creamer into a pot of coffee and drank it. It tasted like I normally prepare my coffeeish milk. Although, like previous lucids, I decided it was easier just to spit it out after I was done tasting it. It's a weird thing I do.

I haven't mastered becoming lucid. The only thing I've ever tasted was water in a non lucid dream. It was the best tasting and perfectly cold water I've ever. So delicious I didn't care if the person chasing me caught me or not and kept drinking knowing he had almost caught up with me. I was still drinking when I woke up.

I licked metal and asphalt a couple days ago, the metal was smooth and cold, as expected, the road was jagged, but not as jagged as it should be

Anybody lick their own tongue?
