Lightbulb My first actual Lucid Dream Experience...

I decided to sleep in the other morning and so i fell asleep and i remember having a dream that i was inside and then I realized that i was having a dream and all of the sudden I was like thinking "Im going to fly" .. so i tried it and I got into mid-air and fell.. I was wondering how do i control myself when im doing this..i just kept falling..

Awesome It's great that you had a lucid dream. Too bad flying didn't work quite right for you, but that's ok. More control will come with time. ^_^ You just have to believe in yourself and it will work.

Nice job so far! As the others said keep going for it. Maybe do dream stabilization next time (tutorials on that are on DV), and really believe you have total and complete control over your dream. It is your world to play with. Then fly!

I had my first last night, but as soon as I rubbed my hands together I had this intense feeling of conciousness and clarity. but I fell to the ground, couldn't move and was worried i would be stuck in the dream but soon snapped out of it and awoke.

I started by floating, leaping into the air and then floating back down. Flying takes both control and experience and patience and you will likely not get it all right the first time around. It's best to try to fly to something (a rooftop or ledge or to something you can easily land upon.) Don't just except to fly around freely for your first time because it will be pretty wacky

There's a really good flying tutorial on the site you might want to look at.

I was having a lot of problems with flying at first, I'd hover really close to the ground and keep falling. It's really just a mental block, so I needed to visualize it in a different way. I started imagining an invisible platform pressing against my feet "pushing" me through the air. After some practice I got it down. That's true for all forms of control, just think of different ways to visualize it if you're having problems, and keep practicing
