      Question Breaking the law!

Any time I try to do anything illegal I always get kicked out of my lucid dreams!
Even the smallest thing such as stealing an object from someones house.
I guess my strong morals wont let me do anything illegal
Does anyone else run into this problem?
Does something similar happen to you?
I would like to hear about it!

I have a dream person who appears when I do things that are "wrong". She takes control of the dream and doesn't let me do bad things. Thankfully, I can make her go away or block her from arriving if I remember to do so. I don't wake up or even change dreams I just lose control though.

This should start you thinking. Would the mind be trying to teach itself moral behavior?

The answer to this question is very important.

I think I only wake up because I lose control.
Also I noticed this morning when I broke the law in one of my lucids, "dream police" came.
They threatened to kick me out, but I apologized and they let me stay haha.

No, you are actually what I call kicked out of the state. You are being disciplined.

Yea, that is the way I like to think of it too.
It has made me learn to respect the dream world.

You don't respect the message, but that which gives it. The source.

Ah little misunderstanding, I do respect the message, I never break the law in real life but I figured since it was just a dream I could.
      I was very wrong.

The important thing here is what is the source of the training? Certainly it cannot be the mind teaching itself--relation to self is inadmissible.

have you tried thinking about what you are doing in a different manner? I am not stealing this object from the house but merrily taking a copy of it? As to the mind teaching itself morals, there are two ways in which I think about it.
      1) The subconscious sees the entire world with which we are close enough to sense, while our consciousness does not. This means it better understands morals, what they are, and the such from its view of your world than you consciously do. So, it does attempt to teach you, or attempts to follow its understanding when it interacts with your dreamself.

      2) You don't want to do immoral things and so conjure things to stop you without realizing until you are face to face with cops.

Very good question, I think it is my deep rooted morals.
Or even immoral people get defabricated?

Consider what you are doing. By your use of the term, subconsious, you simply create two people to explain something. Are you really two or more people?

My understanding of psychology is that the subconscious is the self that you cannot access consciously. In cases of Dissociative Personality Disorder I believe the other personalities are stored in the subconscious and the active personality is in the conscious. But no I do not classify the subconscious as a separate aware being, it is simply a part of yourself that acts without your awareness. I suppose it is possible now that I think about it in this setting that you may have a separate being that is your subconscious without having DPD. For that much raw information to be in a part of your mind that you cannot willfully access and for it not to manifest as a being would be odd. The creature would not be sentient, simply a creature with lots of knowledge that you interact with via the dreamscape... That would make DPD caused by the subconscious, or parts of it gaining sentience.

But people use the word to make the part a whole and the whole less the part--which is pure non-sense.

True schizo's will show up on an EEG. I had one done at my request once.

I will have to read up on my psychology again. I do not remember the difference between DPD and the schizotypal disorder set.

As for myself, I think one has to have a personality to have a personality disorder.

(Please, don't mess with the joke.)

It's happened to me once, the guy hunting me down was a really cranky old man. No matter how quickly I ran, he kept pursuing me. I wasn't afraid of him or anything, I was just like 'god I'm not in the mood for a lecture'. Then he changed into my little brother and told me he was kidding me. Then I woke up 0_0

You need to stop being such a pussy. I can't remember ever having negative consequences from doing something bad in a dream. Chances are you just think you should be punished, you're expecting it, so it happens. Just remember there's no logical reason for you to be punished for doing something wrong in a dream and they will stop.

Well, I didn't have the law stop me, but my morals apparently did. I had been attacking a city, picking up cars and trucks with my mind and making them explode. Later, I was in a room with a few people. I picked up a girl and tried making her explode just to see what would happen but I kept getting stopped every time I tried. I never did manage to do it.

Control > Conscience. Although I feel a little bit bad after being a dick when I wake up.
