      Second LD - Unwanted Company

      Hi folks,

I'm fairly new at this (2nd LD experience), so forgive me if this thread is in the wrong place, but I felt my question pertains specifically to dream control. In both of my LD experiences, I've found myself entering a totally random dream, but both times there were people present who I am familiar with. Specifically in the second LD, I felt a strong urge to want my companion to go away, but as hard as I tried to get away from him, he stayed by my side for the entire dream.

So far all I have been able to attain in my LD's is to recognize that I am dreaming, and to move about the dreamscape a bit in trying (unsuccessfully) to do some things I want to do. I've seen some helpful topics as far as vizualization and control go, but what should I do if I enter another dream and find myself with another leech?

haha right...well I feel a little silly now. I guess it's hard to get used to the idea that you can do whatever you want...not like I have to worry about being rude to somebody, after all it's just a dream!

I suppose that failed relaization stems from the fact that I haven't really been able to do anything that I want to do in my LD's. I've attained lucidity fairly easily, but have really lacked control.

Yeah, there are several ways you can try to get him away from you. Asking him politely to leave, commanding him to leave by saying something like, "As the ruler of this dream, I command you to leave!," You could trick him and tell him to travel to Africa (or some other far off place) and tell him to wait for you there, you could simply kill him, tell him to play hide and seek...start counting...but never seek, just try to get creative with it . You could also use him to help you in your dreams. If you want something, perhaps you could ask him to summon/fetch it for you and see what happens. You could ask him to fly you somewhere or open a portal for you to travel somewhere else. DCs can be pretty helpful at times if you learn how to manipulate them. Just try being polite and you could try using threats or force .

It doesn't really matter what method you use, as long as it will result in him leaving.

      The important thing is that...
      ...HE IS LEAVING.

I was once traveling through a solid wall. Suddenly it occurred to me: "What if I got stuck?" Suddenly it got a lot harder to push through the wall. I thought "Oh no! I'm stuck!" and right when I thought this, I was stuck solid. I remained stuck inside that wall, until the moment that I realized that I could pass through the wall. As soon as it suddenly occurred to me that I KNEW I could pass through the wall, I could.

In your dream, the laws of science are defined by what you know, and nothing more. They are defined quite literally, too. If you know you can't fly, you can't fly. If you think you might be able to fly, then again, you are right. You MIGHT be able to fly. If you KNOW that you can fly, you can just fly.

Next time that you have trouble having control over any aspect of your dream, just know that you have control. Know that your unwanted company is going to leave now, because you asked him to. You have control, and therefore he has no choice but to leave.

      ...Because you DO have control.

Well you coulllddd make him go away...or you could use him to know when you're dreaming, or try telling him to tell you when you're dreaming so you can become lucid.

I would simply fly away from the unwanted person, it is a fast and effecient way to get away from people and get around in the dreamscape.
