I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
Very true, it requires total concentration on the seed. And yes, this theory is based on the general way dreams seem to work for people, so it is considered, and hopefully will work for everyone. |
|
Wow, what an interesting approach. I've never attempted to change my location, but I really want to now just so I can try this. |
|
Indeed, an interesting approach. I find techniques that work best are those that are "sensitive" to the dream and can be integrated easily, rather than just using raw mental power and trying to force things onto the dream. Hope it works for you. :0 |
|
I've never thought of that. sounds plausible, I'll give it a shot next chance I get. Say I want a certain DC to be there when I change to a new dreamcape, any tips? |
|
Interesting! I'll be trying this out sometime. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Have questions about lucid dreaming? DM me.
This is actually what most people get wrong about the "behind closed doors" method. They think "oh i want this door to take me to the blahblahblah place" and when they open the door it doesnt work. That is because they didnt just focuse on the door allowing the dream to change. |

yeah, staying focused on the seed taking you there is key, in any other technique as well. not focusing entirely on the technique but rather the technique working is what i found works best in what ive tried so far. |

Oh, I just love this idea! Yesterday I read about the magic door teleportation trick, and it occurred to me that I basically never dream about closed doors. They're open archways. I also go through windows regularly. Of course, after coming to this realization, my subconscious saw fit to throw a closed door at me that night and I did experiment with it with great results...but this sounds even better! I usually change dream scenes by flying, but they have a tendency to be similar to the last scene. This sounds like a wonderful anytime, anywhere teleportation method that doesn't have any logical landscape continuation issue like flying, or reliant on a fortuitous closed door, which is exceedingly rare for me unless my subconscious is trying to be a smart ass. I'm already wise in the ways of pocket/hammerspace magic, so this is right down my alley. I'll do my best to remember to keep my teleportation seed on standby from now on. |
|
I came up with this concept in waking life. It really is just a logical theory based on my past experiences, designed to work without depending on something environmental as you said. I tend to struggle with teleportation so this idea seemed to work. |
|
Wow this is a very cool idea! I'm not quite at this stage yet, but I look forward to trying this out. |

With a big yawn, Snorlax returned to his home in the mountains.
I always used a portal, but this is amazing. |

"Basically, the new location "spills" out from under your hands. While you pay attention to this, you lose the "rendering" of the old dream world and your thoughts become saturated with the new location. Once the location spills, seeing the ground change will convince you the rest of the dream world has changed and you will see the new location when you look up." Dude xD cool trick but the "how it works" part sounds kinda stupid to me... i mean, its not a scientific fact that if you concentrate on the seed in your dream , the location will spill out of your hands. What i'm trying to say, is that you have some extra not needed false information. The way you describe the scenery to change its only in your dreams. That doesnt mean that if somebody else concentrates on the seed the scenery will change the same way as yours. Its not a technique, its more of a method to convice yourself that you are teleporting. |
|
You can make up thousands of methods like this : e.g. eat a magic teleporting apple / open a teleporting door/ make up a super complex story that in the end you get teleported. Your imagination limits you only, there are no dream laws. Its pure acting, its making yourself believe something |
|
I imagine this could have some cool visuals. I will try it out next time I'm lucid. |
|
Sorry "dude" but not quite. |

Yeah, its not my choice of teleporting, but really good idea. I will surely try this. |

That doesn't seem like it would work for me. I can't pull something out of nothing, even if i "know" its going to be their. I usually just try falling on my back to where i want to go. Or just focus really hard and shoot out energy until i'm somewhere i want to be. |

Peter piper picked your pecker.... wait that's not right.
in a non lucid dream when i wanted to teleport i just blinked and i was there but i only moved a few feet |
