does it get easier?

ok, so i started my dream diary a few weeks ago and after being very close to staying in a lucid dream a few times i had 2 in one night last night :)

thing is, i found it very hard to focus and stick with it...

in the first i really had to try to keep my eyes open/closed (open in the dream, closed IRL if that makes sense) and it was hard work moving around

in the second i found i could move a bit better and decided to try flying, i took off but kept going up, i couldnt figure out how to come back down and forced myself to wake up as i was getting a bit freaked out about going into space!

so will these things get easier with time?

I know what you mean by having trouble controlling flying, I've had flying dreams at least as long as my recall lasts, which is the age of two, and could only move horizontally at first, now i've had 18 years experience and am pro. Becoming lucid for me has always been easier to do it entirely out of instinct which seems to be rare, I can usually do things as soon as they come to mind, but practice does make them easier; to answer your question. Maybe eventually the only thing hard to do is going to be thinking of new things to try!

It will definitely get easier, I still have troubles with focusing, and I've had 85LDs, I would probably say, focusing, is my main problem.
My mind more often then not seems to wander, and I forget what I want to do
ALWAYS remember to stabilize the dream, that should help
and try and remind yourself you are dreaming as much as possible, so you can lengthen the dream

It will get easier. Keep trying. As for space you should go up there and see what happens when you go up high. Its just the same as any other dream scape, the difference is only in your mind, because it looks different.

It all depends on your mindset really. Everything is in the mind, if you have great belief in yourself and the right amounts of determination then yep, will get easier.

Yes. Try spinning around many times as soon as you become lucid.

thanks for the advice peeps :) havent been lucid since though :( wonder what id done to make it happen multiple times in one night! how many days between lucid dreams do you guys have to wait sometimes?

yeah it will get easier. you just need some stabilizing to focus on your dream body and not the other one. looking at and feeling your hands works well because your body is already more stable than the dream environment

flying is still sort of tricky and going into space is scary

I find with a lot of people, just learning a bit about lucid dreaming in the beginning is enough motivation for your subconscious to do some of the work for you.

my problem is the newness of LDing is gone and I don't have enough routines in place to sustain my motivation. STAY frosty with it and hold on to the expectation of how awesome lucid dreams are. don't expect it to be difficult, but don't be turned off if it feels like it is.

Yes..once you get the LD feeling, it'll definitely become easier.

yeah and you'll learn tricks to keep yourself in the dream and that hold the interest. if you lose vision, quickly drop the ground and do a push up. you'll earn new abilities like teleport and walk through walls. traveling in dreams seems significant in some way. also, if i keep a goal of ld in 1 week i know i can do it easy. if you stay FROSTY you'll start getting 2-3 a week and then every 2 or 3 days. that's as far as i got but people say they can lucid dream every night.

Of course it will get easier. Practice makes perfect.

I don't know if your question is already answered or not, but only one thing helps me. Have a plan which consists of about 5 actions.

You should have just kept going!!! I wish I could just fly into space like that. Hmmmm, maybe that should be one of my goals.

your doing great better than most everyone has told me just to relax and keep practicing!!!!

i havent had an LD since :( i had three in one week, now none for weeks! dont know what im doing differntly but its just stopped :(

don't worry or stress :) just take a break or switch up to a different method.

any suggestions? i didnt really have a method other than thinking about LD lots, reality checks and dream journal...
