      Dream control

I have recently experienced lucid dreams as a result of a schedule change- I now work in the afternoons and evenings so my sleep pattern has changed. I usually sleep from 11-4am, then wake up and go back to sleep around 6, for another 2 hours. It is then that I have the most lucid dreams. I have read and researched this forum for tips on gaining lucidity and found many useful tips. Last night I experienced one of the most amazing lucid dreams of my life. Familiar with lucidity I focused on staying calm and focused as I fell asleep, and concentrated on what I wanted to dream about. I found myself totally lucid the entire dream, in amazement of what I was seeing and experiencing. I wanted to pass along that I discovered a new method of staying lucid that I have not seen mentioned in this forum. Whenever I felt that I was "leaving" my dream and close to waking up, I opened a door, if there was one, in whatever room or house I was in at the time. Every single time I opened the door a new and spectacular scenery appeared. I must have opened 10 or 15 doors last night. Was not sure if anyone has ever experienced this.Wow, I cannot stop thinking about my experiences last night. It almost seems boring to be in real life today.

      Congratulations and welcome to DreamViews!
It is likely that the technique that is in play here is called the CAT technique and the MILD technique; The CAT is where you change your sleep patterns and sleep when you are usually used to perceiving waking life, and MILD is Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream, which is where you set your intentions and have a lucid dream. What you were doing in the dream was a form of dream manifestations; the act of creating object, scenes or emotions by different technique and yes, there is Door Manifestation Technique and that is what you experienced.
Lucid dreaming is amazing, and to learn more, head to the tutorials section of the site. Happy dreaming!
