      Flying, FLYING, f.l.y.i.n.g.

If I have a large piece of cloth, I can use them as wings and control where I fly and how high and everything! This is only when things work out as planned and I am not restricted in some way by the environment of the dream. Kicking open windows has been a very useful technique for me, but of course that doesn't always work! Mostly things work out if you believe they can. If a window is barred, most likely you will not believe that it can be opened long enough to pry it open. However, if you tell yourself that the bars are old and rusty and will fall off with a kick, then that will work!

Last nap, I flew quite high and quite far, with very little effort. I jump off of high places and don't even fear it because I know I'll either float down or fly. It's invigorating and exciting every time.
Dreams are our metaphors...or so I believe.

Not sure if you are asking a question, but yeah it is all about what you think will happen, and that depends on how much control you have.

Awesome! Flying is fun. Next time, try flying right through the bars/wall without feeling like you're trapped. Going through walls is a good thing to be able to do, in case you ever feel trapped in a dream you can just zip away like it's nothing.

I don't know how other people have successful lucid dreams, but for me, it's all about confidence. I KNOW I can fly, so I do. When I was a kid, I would have "super Mario" style flying dreams, in which I had to get a running start and then would float back to the ground after a short time. Now, I can fly to Jupiter if I want.

Nice job! Sounds like an interesting way to fly, I might try that.

I fly so much in dreams, probably because I can't get over how awesome it is. I wind up flapping my arms like wings, and it works decently. I want to try hopping up into the air and just floating, like zero gravity. I don't think that counts as flying though.

The definition of flying is "to move through the air under control". So I think that would still count
