      Reflex Stabilization Technique

Those who struggle with dream clarity and control, do not worry your in the right place!

      The Reflex Technique

      Now, lets begin.

As you enter the dream world, your mind is a bit clouded and hazy. Your heart is racing, and you feel like your going 100mph.

      What do you do?

As soon as you can understand that you are dreaming, stop in your tracks.
Simply look up, around, take in your surroundings.
Take a deep breath in and out, as you would in waking life to relax yourself.
Calm yourself down, and start working out the haziness in your mind.

In order to do so, here is the technique.

Most of you should be familiar with this stretch/relaxation technique in real life. Starting from your toes, you should feel every muscle going up from your toes. You can flex your toes, your foot, your calf muscles, and so on.

Doing so will ground you in the dream world, because you become more aware of your body in the dream. Feel around your body and when you get up to your neck/head your mind should be free, and ready to do anything.

All your ideas will come flooding back to you from Waking Life, memories, and lucid ideas. You will drastically improve your lucid dream time by at least a few minutes guaranteed.

Before you go to sleep, practice this. Flex your toes, hold, release, and continue with the rest of your body going up.

This should take no more than 15 seconds, so you aren't wasting any time.

You can proceed to shout clarity, reality checks, and do whatever else you do to clarify the dream further. In my experience, this should be enough to be fully lucid.

However, don't flex very hard because you may end up feeling your body asleep, and you could potentially startle yourself out of the dream.

Hopefully this helped some of you dreamers who are having trouble, and I would like to know what you guys think.

I really like this idea, I never thought of tensing in a dream as it is something that comes so naturally in real life. I'll have to try next time as normally I just go straight to the ground feeling as much as I can around me, although that method does work for me.
One problem for me is if I concentrate too much on my body in a dream I loose concentration of the dreamscape around me, my one worry is that this technique would make me lose contact with the dreamscape.
      Great idea though

Yep, to avoid losing the dreamscape it's all a matter of how hard you are tensing. Lightly tensing, and feeling each muscle should do quite the contrary. In other words, it grounds you to the landscape.

Oh and as always, practice comes first, it might not work the first time, but what does.

I just had a WILD last night so I'll try this. If I flex too much and wake up, ill just DEILD. If I get it right, then you will be the responsible person for me having my first lucid dream with clarity ^^

Try to flex half as hard as you normally would, say, when your admiring yourself in the mirror :p
But yeah, good luck and tell me how it went man
