      Dreams are all unclear

Well for the past several years lucid dreaming has always been something I dreamed of being able to do. (See what I did there?!) I believe I could honestly do a very good job at becoming lucid if my dreams were actually CLEAR. I've tried writing them down, for weeks at a time, But they never got much clearer. I'd write down all the details I could remember and my dreams never even included any senses except for sight, and that was even blurry. I'd remember 6 dreams a night and they'd all be very unclear, and short. However, I'll ask my family about their dreams, and they all have very clear, and very vivid long dreams. I don't do any type of drug, or drink alcohol, so that is certainly not the problem. I get a decent amount of sleep, also. I can just never get my dreams to be clear enough. I've tried drinking apple juice, and all those other foods that are supposed to have vitamins, etc in them to make your dreams clearer, but that never works. I even tried B6, all it did was give me longer dreams, all, still... take a guess, unclear.

You might want to try having a few lucid dreams and then see what happens (assuming you haven't lucid dreamed much).
Not all of my LDs are clear, but most of them are. If you ever catch yourself dreaming, stop for a second and just calmly observe everything.

In my experience, regular dreams can only be as clear as watching a movie at the most, while lucid dreams can be as clear and realistic as actually being there.

I can't lucid because my dreams are too blurry, It prevents me from realizing anything, It's frustrating.

If you have been attempting DILD so far, you could try WILD instead. When you WILD, you transition directly into the lucid dream from conscious waking, so you don't depend on the details of the dream content to help you become lucid.

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Hey, Look at your hands and yell "Increase Lucidity" not say it, yell it and believe it. That works for me

Do you maybe sleep on your right side? That could cause dreams to be difficult to remember, since the dreams tend to be more left brained, which are rather abstract and hard to remember. If that's the case, try sleeping on your left side, which will produce more logical right brain dreams.

Interesting havnt heard this before, what about on your back? I always sleep on my right side but end up turning over a few times in the middle night, though could be a factor. The only false awakening Ive had where i saw someone standing next to me was when I had rolled over onto my back.

Sometimes my dreams are actually uber clear when I'm having them, it's just the remembering that fuzzies them up for me. (I know this from waking up then resuming the dream)
Occasionally though, I'll have a dream where I can only see and it's in a sepia-ish tone. What I do is,(even in reality when things seem fuzzy) I concentrate on one thing and try to take in as many details as possible. Then I squeeze my eyes shut then re-open them.
Also, as you're going to sleep, just keep telling your self 'My dreams will be clear tonight'.
Hope that helps/ makes any sense whatsoever.

      Hello. )
Not a professional dreamer but according to my experience, I can have more vivid dreams when I try to sleep Again when I wake up in the morning, that's when I don't really feel sleepy anymore. Also waking yourself up in the first minutes of your sleep (e.g. try setting an alarm for 15 mins later), you'll find yourself somewhat interrupted and remembering details much more clearly, and getting to sleep again you'll have the same accuracy, which means, as one has already said, the problem is with your remembering the dreams.
I'd be thankful if you keep me informed of the results you get.
