you need to rationalize your ability to fly in your dream. Say that "gravity does not affect me" or "I can control the air" and if all else fails "I am wearing a jet pack". I have a friend who has the exact same problem, with some practice flight shouldn't be too hard, I have trouble flying to so I just jump really high. Happy dreaming!

I have a guide on how to fly once in a lucid dream. You can find the link to the guide in my signature. Good luck! I'm sure you will be able to fly soon

You need to be able to let yourself go. If you have reality checked and you are certain it is a dream just go for it. Don't feel fear or hesitation. Know that you are the god of this dream world and that you can do anything you want. Believe in your abilities and you can do anything.

Congratulations! I find that if you're having trouble flying, just try jumping really high and let that turn into flight

Just to ask, it turns out that flying in my LDs is more difficult that in ordinary dreams. My first lucid included flying and it was really cool, but when I tried to fly higher, it was very hard to do that. It felt as if something was caunteracting my efforts. The same with the speed.
      I'll read your guide, Mancon.

I Think The What Helped Me Fly In Dreams Was To run Away From Scary People Like Micheal Myers, and Jason. One Time I had a dream about Freddy Kruger And I Was So Scared To Die It Wasn't Even Funny!!!!

      remember, there is no spoon.
      LD GOAL LIST

      1) Re-live the D-day landings like in the opening scene in 'Saving Private Ryan'. Arrive by landing boat, storm the beach, kill me some Nazis.
      2) A prolonged flying experience through beautiful landscape/scenery
      3) Have a 'nice' time with Chery Cole and Nicole Schwerzinger

I used to fly in my regular dreams only with great effort and low to the ground. That changed with my first LD, when I jumped in the air and flew like a superman. Everytime I fly, I don't think "hey, lets fly". I just think - "hey, I would see better if I was higher", or "lets go to the moon", so I think about flying indirectly.

I know you had your first flight now, but it may also help to try flying from the ground first to get your confidence up - jumping off tall building can be scary.

First off, you never want to doubt yourself in your dreamworld, your invincible!

Just jump off and fly, believe in yourself and you can do it!

do a good, solid, foolproof reality check, then let go! i find the most reliable one to be holding your nose/mouth closed and still being able to breathe. not only is it truely impossible in real life, but the breathing part of the RC is actually quite relaxing as well.
my flying abilities are reminiscent of the character Woodstock from the Peanuts cartoon XD i have also been able to fly on broomstick like in Harry Potter before, yet i have a habit of running it into the ground.
