      How to heighten lucidity

Lately i had some low lucidity dreams in which i was very weak, i couldn't fully open myeyes, and i couldnt think or move right. That made me think about finding a way of Heighten lucidity. At first i tried the verbal commant that had helped me in the past but i found that in those dreams i was already in a good level of lucidity. In my last dreams because of the low level of lucidity i couldn't express them with confidence.

Last night i used another technique that seems to work:

Set as a goal that the first thing you 'll do when you become lucid is the recolection of things about yourself. For example i chosen to remember my name and last name, My adress and my telephone number.

Last night i had three lucid dreams and i used this technique. In one of these dreams i was in the state that i described(weak). When i used the technique, my lucidity shifted in a very good level.

I think that if itry and recollect more difficult details, i could do even better. So, try this technique and tell me what you think.

Thats interesting, it helps the details, and sharpness of thought.
Also, when you give verbal commands, do they naturally come out in Greek or English. and whats the word for "clarity" in greek...
(if anyone doesnt know already, me and adroid both live in Greece!)
oh, and we still have to meet up some time, cause im moving back to the U.S. next summer now, not in a year and a half.

My verbal commands are in greek. I thought to try it in English but i think that the meaning passes better if its in your own language. Anyway if you want to try the way i tell "clarity now" in Greek is:ΔΙΑΥΓΕΙΑ ΤΩΡΑ, this realy means "lucid now" but when i want to say something about lucidity, i tell it in English...

One thing that works for me is to find the nearest object or person and concetrate on them. It's neat to feel yourself going from a foggy haze into something more crisp and clear.

Another way of heightening lucidity or awareness is to concentrate on some kind of detail such as brushing your hand on the top of the grass/and watch the wind blow through it, rub your hands together...or anything similar

      That's right Paperdoll .

GestaltAlteration, i had a big increase in the frequency of lucid dreams after i red "exploring the world of lucid dreaming" and practise the exercises. And i dont think this is coincidence. If you dont have that book you have to get it.(no i am not an advertiser send by LaBerge )

I've had the experience where my dream eyes were only half-open too. Either that or I keep on blinking and can't keep them open at all. Now, whenever I get that, I just do the spinning technique and wake up into a brand new lucid dream. That always works for me.

what helps me is to just keep my hands in front of me. kinda like pov of a first person shooter game where there are hands holding a gun.

In my last LD I've found myself in some kind of a gym.
I've sticked ot the wall for some reason, and became lucid.
Well, as long as I stayed in that position, I had a remarkable clarity of picture. Even tho it was clear, it was very chaotic, with objects moving and stuff...

Yes staring at my hand works for me too, but i use it mostly for staying in the dream. I still use this topic technique to increase lucidity(when i remember it).

staring at your hands works best for me too. I use that technique to get lucid, as a queue and to stay lucid. But, overall, staring too long is not a good thing, it makes you foggy or lose lucidity. Taking brief glances of everything works really well. If you stare at something it is a point of exit, i use that to change dreams. Like this morning, I was in a room, looking at all the items in my dream. I pointed at a painting on the wall, and zoom I vortexed into another dream flying over Paris next to the Eiffel tower. Then I continued the lucid dream further. I usually just go back and forth between the dream, items in the dream and my hands to keep lucidity. Inevitably it runs out or you get tricked and think you are waking up but it is just a false awakening...
