Time Travel

I had a very interesting night. I was experimenting with time travel in one of those insanely long lucid dreams. I was bouncing back and forth between key points in the storyline, changing my actions to see how I could change the outcome of the dream.

For example, in one part of the dream, I was trying to escape from Hawaii with some sort of law enforcement agents chasing me. I tried impersonating an FBI agent to get through airport security. I tried stealing a yacht from my friend's family reunion. I tried flying off the island using my own power. I tried swimming to the mainland, and many more. Each attempt led to a different storyline. I must have been juggling a dozen stories simultaneously. Some were happening at the same time, with split consciousness. I died several times, but would simply switch to one of the other time lines. It was really disorienting and strange.

I don't know how long this would have gone on. I was finally awakened by an earthquake around 5:00am. I was resetting the dream so much by time travelling, I'm sure I briefly woke and re-entered several times in the process.

i have an entry in my dj where i played a murder game (non-ld) and went through it many ties becaus e of the fun i was having.

i heard about that earthquake on wikipedia. Are you near the OH valley? Good thing you're alright though.

It's posts like these that give me inspiration and motivation. Awesome stuff, really shows the amazing potentials of the human mind

The split consciousness baffles yet intrigues me! I guess you have to experience it to know...

I'm in California, and it was just a mini earthquake. I'm super sensitive to them. Before my girlfriend could even wake up, I was already out of bed, with my pants on, and a flashlight in my hand.

Time travel sounds like fun...until it isn't.

I spoke to my dad yesterday (the 6th) and I think he was telling me about the same earthquake. He lives in Oakland.
