Maintaining Lucidity (Please Help)

hey guys, ive been having quite a successfull time these last 2 weeks with my lucid dreaming, my latest lucid dream, i decided to fly, but it wasnt like my other lucid flying dreams, i flying as fast as Neo and i was laughing while doing it :)

but the problem is, on average my Lucid dreams last about 5 mins or less :(, it always ends in the same type of way, a dream character side tracks me and i start to forget that im in controll and the dream fades away!

what are some techniques that will let me postpone the end of the lucid dream, as i want to stay in that wonderfull place for as long as i can :)

please reply so i can try them as soon as i get the chance.

Its all about focus so as your flying or whetever your doing try to keep telling your self it all a dream and dont forget that ,rub your hands and just ignore dream character if they do distract you.But dont ignore them all the time beacuse they can say some pretty intresting things so if you do decide to talk to them just keep telling your self it a dream.Maybe you coud talk to a dream character about making your lucid deam last longer beacuse they know you more than anybody

Are you stabilizing th dream? Stabilizing a dream is a very important step when you become lucid. You should check out this stabilization tutorial. I hope it will help! :)

Also, stabilizing is all about activating your senses. You want to engage them. Just stop for a moment and take look around the dream. Take in the details. Touch, taste, smell, see, hear, etc. Just taking a moment to do this will help you prolong the dream. Best wishes.

thanks for the explaination :) and yes i usually do stabilize as soon as i become lucid (rub by hands together) but i usually only do it once, at the start, and i forget to ever do it again.
