      Stabilization problem

so I had my 2nd LD last night. I tried to use a stabilization technique. suddenly I
suffocated in the dream. so I panicked a bit because I couldn't breathe and I woke up. does anyone know something preventing that? I didn't expect this. this LD was much more vivid btw.
the good thing is though, the Stabilization technique worked.

Which stabilization technique did you use?

I was probably because you were already panicking, before you start stabilising, try to calm down first. Becoming calm to stabilise is a major part of staying in a dream, it's tough when there is alot of stuff going on, personally I just try to zone out.

I really recommend crawling, try to get your whole body involved.

It's ok man that happens, just remember NOTHING can hurt you IN your dreams whether it's some type of bodily dysfunction or what not. You have control over everything you do. Shouting out commands is another way of stabilizing as well. Try to experiment with different things and find something that works for you.

      Not physically anyways.

      Okay. Maybe a little physically.

But don't freak out or anything.

Really? Just a little? I dunno about that.

If things like wet dreams lead to waking life orgasms ... and they feel good both in the dream and in waking life... why wouldn't that work in other situations?

I've been in pain while IN a dream... very life-like pain. That and there's been a small fraction of times where I've woken up sore in specific places where I've been hurt in the dream. Granted it wasn't long lasting and I'm not totally sure if I was sore because of the dream or if I had the dream because I was sore... but still.

Actually though, for normal people with normal dreams, I'm sure nothing goes from dreams to waking life physically. Not even orgasms.

Do not fret, it's actually quite a fun thing to play with Embrace it.

The orgasm thing tends to transfer.

Everyone tends to be different with their experiences. I think its unlikely for someone to become mortally wounded from a dream, so just keep cool. The mind is powerful, certain things can happen if you believe it can with enough will power.

No lucid expert but if pain is carried over from waking life to a lucid dream, couldn't one imagine it to go away?

Yes!!! But I imagine accidentally discovering the power of invisibility is not the same as discovering the ability to uninvisible (I know that's not a word) oneself. Or a better example might be.... blowing stuff up is easier than putting it back together?

I never had any physical pain follow me from dreams. If it were gonna happen, I'd be worried about that sword blow I took to the head. Yes, the sword was lodged in my head in the dream. Didn't hurt, but I could feel it there.

I said nothing about trivial cases.
