I have no control what so ever

      Hey.
I'm obviously pretty new to both lucid dreaming and this forum.
Now, I don't really know if this problem really goes into dream control but I still could use some suggestions.

My problem is that so far, dreams have always been like movies to me. I can't really freely roam around or even freely move my body. It's kinda like my path and my movement are fixed. So even if I wanted to RC and for example look and rub my hands, I probably couldn't.

Now the thing is sometimes while I'm dreaming, I DO realize that I'm dreaming. However I was never able to do anything with it. I was still fixed to my path. It just kind of takes my fear, knowing that nothing can happen to me. (I don't even know if this goes into the category of lucid dreaming)

Have any of you had this problem while starting out? Or have you always had free control of yourself while dreaming?
Is this something that will go away after legitamently trying to LD?

This is quite common, some people enjoy just watching (lol)

If you want to control things, after you become lucid I would suggest imagine and visualize yourself talking to a friend, in a house, from inside your body. Hopefully it should just happen, it may take some practice though.

Other ideas could be to focus on yourself, from where you are viewing the dream, try thinking of falling, or spinning, and then stop, expecting to see yourself stood in a house.

When you think you can't do something in a dream, you usually can't. If you KNOW you can do it, and have the confidence, you usually can!

      Good luck

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

Set up tasks right now and visualize yourself achieving them. If you know you have to be lucid to do them, as soon as you get lucid next time you'll break away from whatever you're doing to achieve your planned task. Having a tasklist not only helps you get lucid, it's awesome to read old entries and know you can do things you've told yourself you're going to do, aswell as keep you motivated. Control might be a bit tricky in the beginning, but you'll get better at it with each lucid you have
