      First Lucid but no control?

This is very weird. I actually have a LD with my own, self made method!

Anyways, back to the dream. Long story short, I tried to shoot a chain out of my hands, (It was the first thing that came to mind.) and nothing happened. I tried to make a chain shoot out again, but nothing happened! I remember reading on this forum that you can't just expect the chain to come after your hand, you have to make it happen. I concentrated hard on making a chain fly out of my hand. Nothing. Then I decided to do something more simple, so I told myself if I close my eyes, try to summon a lamp, when I opened my eyes the lamp would be there. Bad idea, because as soon as I opened my eyes, I was awake, with my eyes closed, so I thought to perform a DEILD and almost instantly entered another dream, but it was like a spongebob screen saying with a text that kept changing:
      - Subconscious, asleep.
      - Semi Conscious!
      - Waking up!
      - Fully awake!
      - You lose!

      Help?

Using expectation is a horrible lie perpetrated by those with no understanding of control.

Your post is relatively useless, I learned nothing on how to control powers in my dreams from your post.

Well he did link to you a guide on Dream Control that seems to be Aton of help.
Dreams that last for a few seconds
      house more wisdom
      Then those that last forever.
      It is always our nightmares
      that are the most vivid.
But if the vividness was taken away
would they really be so scary?
