      Trouble Maintaining a Dream?

      Hello
I am a fairly experienced lucid dreamer and recently i have been have very frequent lucid dreams(About 3-4 times a week). This is great, but i developed a really bad habit in my dream. Every time i become lucid, about a minute or two later i would start thinking about when the dream is going to end and if i have enough time to do what i want. This is the biggest dream killer for me and always involves me waking up every time i have those thoughts. I have been trying to break this habit, but I've found it extremely difficult and frustrating. Does anyone have any tips for me on breaking this terrible habit? I know i will have longer lucid dreams if i fix this problem. Thanks!

I've had a lot of experiences like this too

It really is a pain in the ___! The only thing I've done that seems to be working is reading my goals over and over especially before bed. I realized that once I get lucid, I instantly get flooded with the memories of what I wanna do, and when that happens, I rarely think about the dream ending at all. Same thing goes for stabilization. Lately I haven't been stabilizing at all as well, because of the said rush of memories which allows me to kinda "focus" on the task at hand and nothing else. The great thing is that because of the schema, the dream won't destabilize because I'm not thinking about it needing to. So it ends up alright. So..I'm rambling...so yea.. try to do some autosuggestion regarding something else you wanna focus on, to divert attention from those annoying dream-ending thoughts.

      Hope this helps!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I am not experienced, but i just thought of this. All day think "when will being awake end?" Then, when that becomes a habit, you will be break that, being that if you are like me, you spend more time awake than asleep. It will be easier to break the habit because if you try to do it in a dream, it will end, but I have never had being awake end like that.

Do not take my word for it, it was based off of 5 minutes of theory, but it is still worth a shot in my opinion.
