Passive control granting forced control?

I recently read some tutorials on dream control. I had never looked at any before, and my dream control was quite good. However, I can see the upside of using passive control.

Reading the tutorials, namely the one by BillyBob in this case, there is an example of using passive control to get forced control. In other words, I believe his example is if you wanted to turn into a wolf, remind yourself you are a werewolf.

So if I'm getting this right, you can make up scenarios to explain why you would be able to do whatever you want. Let's say I wanted to fly. Even though I haven't had problems with this in my dreams, if I explained to myself I was hit with gamma rays, or something along that line that gave me the power of flight, I would be able to fly without a drawback? That doesn't make sense to me, as it's still forced control. Does using passive control in that way minimize the impact when you use forced control?

If I'm getting your question right, you are asking why you should use passive control to explain a superpower that you already have. If you are already able to, for example, fly, then there is no reason to create a scenario that explain your ability to fly. But if you have a really hard time flying, then you could set up a situation in which scientists implant you with the DNA of a bird, which makes you able to fly. Doing something like that can enforce your confidence in your ability to fly. But if you already can, it is by no means necessary.

'Passive control' can be used when you find it difficult to transition from becoming lucid to dream manipulation. In other words you're aware of the fact that you're dreaming but can't fly for instance. In situations like this you can adopt methods such as the one given above to help you bridge that gap.

The key is to get a feel for the sensation of the dream action you want to perfect. In the case of flying, the first and most obvious question is - what does it feel like to fly? Then you can ask yourself, what does take off/landing/accelerating/decelerating feel like? By doing this your mind can assimilate these feelings + experiences with the physical capability of doing that skill.

I do something similar to what light said in my lucid dreams. I control my dreams by simply asking myself questions and letting the dream do the rest. For example i would be on a train and gain lucidity and i would notice the trains not on a track and ask myself "why is there no track for the train?" then the tracks would appear or similarly if it was night i would ask why is it so dark?" and the sun would rise. i find using this passive control technique to be much easier than forcing what i want.
