i have a LD almost every night but sometimes i know im dreaming but i feel the urge to just continue on with what i was doing like walking over to a friends house or something. i was wondering if anyone could help me with this. Thanks

If you have control over what you do, but simply usually opt to go along with whatever scenario is happening, try stopping for a moment, as soon as you find out that you are lucid. Don't Move. Stay Still in one spot and observe the scene around you. After you've taken away the lead-by-the-hand script of your subconscious, ask yourself Consciously what it is you want to do now that you are lucid. The only person who can stop you from trailing along with the dream is yourself, you simply have to stop what you're doing long enough to realise what it is you really Want to do. I know that with my dreams its sometimes hard to concentrate consciously cause my dreams are usually like big action sequences. Lol. Hard to ask yourself what you want to do when people are shooting at you. 8) But thats probably the best advice I can give. Just stop whatever it is you're doing. Don't even walk. Just stand in one spot, take some time to observe how detailed and amazing your mental world is, and tell yourself that Anything you want to do is within your grasp...it should be easy from there.
the dude above gave pretty good advice. Stopping what you're doing gives you time to clear your mind and focus what you really want to do. try not to get too involved with the surroundings or else you could lose lucidity
