The Guide To Getting What You Want In Dreams,

The guide to getting what you want in dreams,

I'm going to start this off by saying that fundamentally you are in control of your lucid dreams. The fact is that if you are in the right state of mind then you can do anything you want to do. And it really is that simple.

How to stop bad thoughts in dreams,
This is a beginners nightmare, you look around your room (or some place else) and you realise it's a dream. You look up and to your horror the grudge or you worst fear is on the ceiling. You panic and with out a clue what to do you wake up. Now I'm not going to lie it's a scary thought to face, but in your dreams you are in control. If you have the right mind and attitude towards things. You see in real life, there are laws and these are both in the justice system and universal. You can't fly in real life, no matter how hard you try. You bring this mind set is in the dreams with you so at least 95% of the time, you can't do anything. See if you were just to manifest a gun and shoot your fear, well what would have happened? Mind set is key and that is why through out the rest of this guide I will refer to it a lot.

      Doing impossible things
The main reason why people lucid dream, well apart from something achievable in real life but I will steer away from that in this guide. In dreams everybody wants to fly, journey in to outer space, dive in to the depths of the ocean etc... All of it is not achievable in real life, and it sticks on to your mind's attitude towards problems. The truth is that even though you think you know that you can do all of this stuff in dreams, subconsciously you have doubt. And even that can cause failure in dreams. Many people want to have dreams with there girlfriend/boyfriend and just look for them hoping to find them. Does that happen in real life? No. And thats the reason it doesn't work for such a large number of people. But also another thing that is of huge importance is creativity. Draw a portal on the ground to visit you love ones. And that will work combined with the right mind set.

The Transformation of DC's and the Dream trying to take control
This is normal for beginners because being lucid is new to the brain and it can view it as a threat, just like anything else it doesn't have to be a threat to be picked up as one. Having sex in dreams personally nothing goes wrong... But many members seem to complain about the transformation of there perfect person in to a Witch or demon or something of that nature. Now at this time you have really got to push your imagination to the limits. The best thing to do is imagine your dream as a DC and actually talk to it and ask it never to do that again. Also another thing that seems to happen to a lot of members of dream views is loss of speech. And I personally suffered from this in my earlier days. But there are literally loads of ways to get around it and I think on that note its time to finish up.

      The Conclusion
So now you know that having the right view on things is key to controlling lucid dreams. You know that looking at things from a creative angle can improve the results exponentially. And you also know to combat your fears with full power. You are in control of your dream and don't let the dream tell you otherwise

I think this is a good thread but I think its going to do more harm causing everyone to see the grudge on the ceiling.

Also you say you are the lucid king near your name and your LD count is 2. Something seems off.

edit: don't mean the above to be negative, you have been making great additions to dreamviews , its just the title.

      Hey man,
I understand its just constructive criticism. About the lucid dream count, that's after my restart see I had a really long pause (dry spell) and I stopped for a while. But now I'm back in the game . I've actually had about 25-35 lucid dreams overall in my time I've been trying to get them. I know I'm not the lucid king btw, it's just a fun tittle and a goal I guess. And thanks for saying I have made great additions to Dreamviews
( Also about the grudge thing it's just that this is what a lot of newbies tell me and they lose a lucid dream over it, so I thought it would be the good to include it)

      Thank you for this GP.
It is important that people get to know this. If you think about it, out of the 1/200 of the population that can lucid dream like only 1/20 actually manage to have succesful and fruitfull dreams because the others place limitations upon themselves and ultimately fail (Btw those statistics are made up).
I however don't think people will ever learn since so much rumors are spread throughout reddit and 9gag etc. I guess the most we can do for now is try make a difference here on DV.

Good job. I feel like a lot of people don't LD because of fear. The only problem is that the only way to face that type of fear is to really LD and be as creative as possible with the way you handle things. Instead of materializing random things, I like doing attacks from anime on people. Things like rasengan or flaming wings of the flame dragon. You just have to convince yourself that you are someone that can do that and I like to memorize the motions that they do. some people might feel like they would be better off using guns though, and that could work pretty well.

Thanks for not taking it the wrong way, that makes a lot more sense and I thought it would be something like that after I posted. I bet I'll dream of the grudge now haha.

I forget where but somewhere on DV I read about using archetypes for dream control. So using a video game combat system to fight or using a mythical creature to fly from a cartoon or whatever. It was a great read, it might have been billybob.

probably referring more to mzzck, I think billybob thought that beliefs played a major role in dreaming as much as archetypes. Personally I feel that one needs not have an archetype to dream, I myself have always just logically thought over as to why I should be able to do something in a dream wihtout having to think of some schema or archetype. I guess I made my own archetype that has no expectations
