The spinning technique wakes me up everytime ..
Ive had a total of 8 lucid dreams now in about 40 nites, and 4 of them, ive tried the spinning technique, whether it was to try and stabalize a dream, or simple becuz i was bored of my surroundings and wanted to change them, and each time, I would close my eyes, begin to spin, feel the pull on my body, hten I would wake up...every time, I will just wake up.
Its gotten to the point where its frustrating, the last two lucid dreams ive had, as soon as ive become lucid, out of habit it seems, ill tell myself to relax, and calm down, and ill either close my eyes and start spinning to try and go to a relaxing place, or ill simple just close my eyes and concentrate, and it seems like every time I spin, or even close my eyes I suddenly wake up....its upsetting me seeing as how im wasting away lucid dreams, waking myself up after only being in them for a few seconds =(

This happend to me once, and i discovered that it was because i did it to fast, I realized i was dreaming and instantly i got to excited and began to spin to fast and that was the shortest lucid dream i've ever had, it lasted like five seconds. The difference was that i was doing it with my eyes open, why don't you try to change the landscape with your eyes open, it might work for you.
So I woke up pretty angry and I began looking for other ways to stabelize my lucid dreams and found rubbing your hands. I thought this was very silly so i asked somebody and he said that all the things that feel like moving fast or in motion make you get back the vividness of the dream so i tryed it out and it worked perfectly. I got back the vividness of the dream and now I do it all the time.
Here's a link of a post I did about rubbing my hands:
