      Clones and perception?

I was just wondering, if any of you tried making clones. And if you did, could you see, hear, taste, hear and feel with them. I got this idea from a show called naruto. Where this guy, named nagato(pain), could control six dudes at a time. So when somebody trys to come behind one of them, his other 5 can see behind him. Its like he has 12 eyes. I would have tried this, but my dream control is very bad, I can't even walk properly. But hey, it's just an idea.

Yes I've tried it. It's quite cool but you don't exactly see or feel everything at once. In my case it was like I could shift my focus between the two bodies, almost like how you can only focus on spot with your eye, I could only focus with one body. Yet I could use both bodies for different senses at the same time, it was weird.

Haven't done that yet, but i imagine how it would be, haha, i once had lucid where i was looking at one spot from three different perspectives and that was already pretty trippy, would even more trippy with all senses.

It should be possible though to feel everything at once, maybe your expectations were not letting you that time?

No, it isn't possible necessarily. It is in fact known that we can't focus on all our senses at once, it would be even harder to think for two bodies at once. I've some pretty wacky stuff in my dreams, turning into a singularity, becoming omnipresent, controlling bodies, merging sense etc and a reoccurring problem I have with all is that some things are just not possible. It's quite a simple concept really, our brain just isn't powerful enough to process all this new information.

The things I've done so far have all been amazing, becoming omnipresent truly did feel out of this world and I was surprised by how much things I could focus on but I know that it is out of my range to ever become truly omnipotent in a dream because it requires a processing power far beyond that capable of out brain.

Your expectations aren't the only limit in lucid dreams.
Lucid dreaming might feel limitless sometimes, but nothing is infinite.

If you think it's impossible then it will be, if you so want to limit yourselves, so be it. I will go and be nothing then, and be infinite.

Go ahead then. If you can actually manage to become nothing, I will congratulate you for having proven your point.

Coming from the time dialation thread, i feel a lot of people are greatly underestimating the power of our brains/minds.

I've had a non-lucid dream where; i had just survived a car crash, climbed up the ridge. And at the top i was another me, and as soon as i saw him, i became him while having conscious perception of both of our senses.

I also remeber this nightmare i had where; a man turned into a monster and paralyzed me while he was strangling my soul(what it felt like). As i was paralyzed i became aware of two other dream selves in two other separate dreams (again what it felt like). As before, upon perceiving my "clones" i also became them, i also became aware that this was a three tiered dream (yet i still felt in mortal danger). So on three separate levels i was three separate people (version of myself); aware on all levels that we where one person. We were all aware as well that as one person, if the guy getting strangled died, we all would.
The me one the bottom level was barely hanging on to his soul, from this fearsome monster; the me on the second level was by a fountain panicking, and me on the third level was shouting "wake up!" while willing it. Thankfully that did the trick.

None of your own experiences proved that the brain is any more powerful than I made it out to be. There is a possibility that dreaming allows us to unlock a hidden potential in our brain, but it is most likely that our ability to think in a dream is close to that when we are awake.

Well I haven't actually made a clone of myself before but I did have a dream once while still being awake and aware of my physical body. I had control over both though vision I pretty much had to focus on one scene or the other, though I could equally feel the wind on my back and the bed I was laying on. I was afraid to do anything other than move my head of my real body though out of fear of breaking the dream. So I was able to use every sense equally except sight. Even then I could be in my room and still see the dream scene as a blurry projection or in the dream scene and see my room as a blurry projection.
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

Hmmmm... since the brain is a super computer capable of processing more information (I am getting a conservative number of 400 Billion processes per second, some say much higher numbers) than computers (except a few crazy ones, maybe only one), we are only aware of about 2,000 bits of information processed, so if LDing can increase are awareness, it can make us "feel" all of our bodies at once as well as a second body. This is my opinion though, and I have been wrong many times before, and I plan on being wrong many times more.

I have played a video game before where I was the character and the person playing the video game. Like Dutch said, I had only part senses with one of the people, but I had the full senses of the character in the game. I wasn't lucid though, so I wasn't trying to feel all the senses of both people.
